I purchased a USB drive from CompUSA. The product offered a $20 rebate through the manufacturer PNY Technologies, Inc. I sent all the necessary receipts, forms, UPC code, etc. the very next day (well before the rebate expiration date). I had copies of everything. I checked the rebate website for a processing number. My rebate was never posted, so I again sent copies of all the required info to the recommended alternate address in Texas, and again, I never heard anything or received the rebate. I notified CompUSA who said it was the responsibility of PNY. I notified PNY by phone and mail only to be told that now the rebate term had expired. I filed complaints with the BBB in NJ, Texas, and FL all to no avail. PNY refuses to honor the rebate because they have "no record" of the information (which I sent many times within the proper dates) and because the rebate period expired. I learned it is important to register rebate documents with Post Office certificate of mailing!
