I did an out right purchase from a seller "PRETTIES4U" in Feb. 2003. When she accepted the purchase I was sent to a page that requested shipping cost. I sent her an email requesting the cost.
PRETTIES4U responded that she would send an invoice
for me to use. I never received the invoice. A week later I received a phone call at 7 am from PRETTIES4U asking why I had not responded to the invoice. At first I thought perhaps my email was not working. I apologized and got my credit card out to give her the number. Before I could read her the number, PRETTIES4U started using profanity, calling me a F------ liar stupid bitch. It was a very shocking experience.
I hung up on her. She continued to call my home, screaming at my son and myself. After a few weeks of her calling several times a week. I turned her in to the phone company, Qwest Communications. The calls were traced by Qwest and a letter was sent to PRETTIES4U, threatening to disconnect her phone service for harassment.
She has not called my home since but continues to email me. She placed negative comments on my feedback, claiming I don't pay. I don't believe anyone should be forced to do business with an abusing person.

I have read all the posts on this report. I truly believe that Debbie made up those e-mails. I myself can tell you right now that I will never buy from this woman. Miracle I am siding with you and kris, this woman is crazy! She keeps making threats to you and others. If she was going to sue she would have! It sounds like her husband thinks she's nuts too,cause I don't think he's going to help her. She also keeps talking about herself in 3rd person, just like bob dole!I know that Debbie is reading this cause she has nothing better to do anyways so let me tell you Debbie, I was born and raised in this great state of Texas.I know for a fact that if you had called my house and said anything to my child or myself like you did to these poor women that there would be a lynching so fast your head would spin! Why don't you stop with the "threats" and get a life!!!!

Debbie you stated that when you purchase something off eBay it is a binding contract. Allow me to shed some light on this. Ebay states that they are a venue. When you question eBay about making sure a sale is followed through on they will tell you that they cannot force anyone to sell an item to you, nor can they force them to pay for that item. They also tell you to think as eBay as the classifieds in a newspaper. Sorry but because eBay is a venue they cannot force anyone to follow through on a sale. You cannot make a person pay for the item nor can you claim that it is a binding contract. You list your items in good faith that the person who wins the auction pays for that item.
On a personal note I think YOU are the one stalking these poor people. My god you won't let up. I personally would never buy from you after reading the things you have posted. You seem to think that because you have a lawyer in your family you are god. Guess what newsflash!! It doesn't meen squat. I'm curious as to what your husband thinks of you harrassing people. If I were these people I would ban together & file a lawsuit against you for stalking & harrassment.
I hope eBay does suspend you. People like you who rip off people on eBay are the reason web sites like this one stay in business.

Notice Debbies last entry of the conversation we were having by email. She never responded to my question of payment. That is were the communication broke down and she stopped responding. I sent several emails asking for payment instructions, she never responded.
I never said there wasn't email communication between us. Only that she wouldn't respond on payments.
As for Qwest not recorded my complaint. That is not true. Qwest sent the letter and informed Debbie that if she continued to call me that her phone services would be terminated. She is still on record with them, even thought she stopped calling my house. My number has never changed.
Qwest suggested I report her to the local police and give them the reference number to the file Qwest had on her.
Whatever your issues are Debbie, you can't continue to take it out on the general public. Please get some help. All of this won't matter if could get help.

It seems as if there was a good relation going on between you and Kris. I also see in her e-mail where there might be some confusion about PayPal. Did that have something to do with it? Was there a less than cordial phone exchange that started this off?
How did things go down hill so badly? With so many GOOD responses and her e-mail showing concern that you didn't get paid... it seems to me that it all should have been handled very easily and quickly with either an e-mail or a phone call.
Yes, contracts are legally binding... that can be a two edged sword. At worse, a small claims filing should be the most that a customer can expect at this level of business.
It seems to me that there might have been some miscommunication and since nothing was actually sent then it should be considered a cost of doing buisness and just reposting the item for sale. There might have been a cost for this, but the alternative I have seen going on here makes it worth while to write it off.
All companies should expect buyers backing out for any number of reasons...
As a buyer on E-bay I would say that most people look at the efficiency of the seller... not necessairly the "quailty" since that can be quite subjective and if there are enough good postings we can take it as a grain of salt as the difference in perceptions between two people.
This back and forth is much much worse. Unfortunately, the way these things work is that you can now have a lot of positive respones, but if some does happen to research you before bidding then they will have to make their own determination if they are willing to get into a contest of wills such as this.
Is it really worth it?

After reading this I chose to reply and I am not taking anyone's side on the matter. First, if you are a debt collector, I suggest you review the federal guidelines for collection. I expect you will find some references in there about how to conduct yourself when contacting people. Another thing I would like to comment on is the feedback response. You left back negative feedback after they left neutral or good feedback with a comment that you did not like. Why did you choose to do that? they paid on time, sent the money fast, that is all they are required to do. So justify to me that if they did that, that you have reason to make a bad comment about them?
No I am sure Debbie that you have been 100% satisfied with EVERYTHING you have bought in your life right? I am sure that all you have is good comments about everything you have purchased. A couple of these people left good feedback but yet were not satisfied with quality. Did they ask for their money back? say that you misrepresented your product in that comment? NO.. what gives you the right to leave bad feedback if they don't like it? I would like for you to do something.
Go out to your window and look outside, you see all that out there? it is AMERICA! people don't have to like what you sell and thank god they can tell everyone they don't.
Maybe next time you should just email them and tell them sorry they were not 100% satisfied and ask if you can help. THAT is good service. So what if you have 3600 good comments That doesn't give you the right to treat the ones who don't like your product like crap. Let me tell you one thing, I would have bought from you if I ever came across something you were selling that I wanted, just because of your 3600 good comments, but after the few bad ones you made on here.. forget that.
As far as the first person who filed this report, maybe the correct action would have been to see why should had not replied to your email before calling her. Also, if you did use the language that she said you did, AS A DEBT COLLECTOR, you are really pushing your limits and there could be legal consequences for your language. And yes, she may have used it also, but you are the collector! heck she didn't even get anything from you yet. If you called me on the phone acting like that and told me you wanted money and you would ship the product I WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOU.. and I doubt a judge would disagree with my decision not to send the payment. I am sure he would agree that I actually thought I would never get the product. It is up to YOU to PROVE she got your email not her.. She didn't get any products from you.
I suggest you take some anger management classes and maybe a few customer relations classes. They will help you deal with customers..

My husband is a 3D animator. The only 'work' we have ever done for attorneys is animating reconstructions of accidents or incidents for trial. We don't 'claim' he does this either. We have lots and lots of proof of all our work. What could this possibly have to do with you being crazy and selling people sub-par merchandise online??

As a frequest buyer on ebay, and having had a few bad experiences myself, I now look at a person, thier feedback, and reports here VERY carefully. I was looking up pretties4u on ebay so I could burn a print in my mind and remember to never purchase there. Curiously enough....there is no feedback at all for this person. How did that happen?

I have done credit & collections for 21 yrs prior to ebay. I am very familiar with the Fair Debt collection laws and harrassment laws.
Qwest took your complaint off when they found out you placed an invalid complaint to avoid collections.

To your response. Ebay purchases are legally binding contracts. My terms of service or TOS clearly state at the bottom of the bidding page that this is a legally binding contract. Ebay also puts in their TOS which you must acknoweledge you have read before you can become a member that ANY purchase other than Real Estate is a legally binding contract.
Therefore when SHE did the Buy it Now, she committed to purchasing the item. She default. Qwest was quite understanding about her defaulting on her obligation.

Debby, I received all the communication involved from the Qwest Communications. It is on record that you harrass people, use profanity while threatening a minor on the phone. Such methods are not allowed for any reason while using the public communication system. Especially in reference to collections.

This is a response to the above women who think they have been wronged.
At no time did any of these people not recieve their items. They all recieved their items in a timely manor.
The quality of their items was as stated and at no time did any of them ever contact me prior to posting feedback to complain.
One however, just simply never paid as she did to her other sellers.
If you look at the feedback carefully you will notice they posted feedback first. If you can not say something nice do not say anything.
I have a feedback rating of over 3600 of very satisfied customers and plenty of emails from people who have been more than thrilled with their purchase.
I think my reputation speaks for itself up against the people who can no longer bid on ebay, hid behind false names and phone numbers or those who has shown poor charater by not paying previous sellers.

This person won a bid for a size 5 ring. She demanded I change the ring to a size 5 3/4 (an unheard of size) I broke my neck to have the ring sized for her at MY COST because she hinted she would cause me problems. The stone was flawless.

Suggestions:
1) she'll probably call and hang up so keep your phone's caller ID records handy and be ready to report hang up calls to the authorities.

3) File a case with Square Trade to see if you can get the feedback removed. She probably won't agree, but it's just more proof of her nastiness for you.

Debbie Drury of Pretties4U harsh and unprofessional seller

I purchased a ring from "Pretties4U" (Debbie Drury). The picture on the internet showed a shiny, sparkly aquamarine stone. I requested that it be sized, and it was. However, when I got the rign, the band was rough and uncomfortable. Also, the stone has an obvious flaw (looks like a large scratch) which anyone can see with the naked eye. It was the first thing that I noticed when I looked at the ring. In my feedback, I gave Debbie a compliment for friendliness and said that the quality was less than I expected (I gave her a neutral. She responsed by giving me a negative only because "I chose to run down her product" (this quote is from a nasty email that i recieved from Debbie shortly after I posted feedback). Her reaction to my comment was childish, unprofessional, and uncalled for, especaiily for someone who claims to be a professional businesswoman.

I was suspended on ebay temporarily, after Debbie Drury sent a compliant into ebay claiming I listed false personal information.
I simply removed my address as a security measure suggested by the local police. After I reported the violent behavior of Debbie Drury the owner of PRETTIES4U.
This women is so deranged in her thinking that she will spare no expense in her pursuit of stalking and abusing others.
She has now drawn ebay into her attempt to continue harassing me. Not only will this back fire on her but she will be in legal
hot water for submitting a false report to ebay in an attempt to bring harm to another member. The purchase of her item cost a
mire $12. that she would have been paid if she had no chose to be abusive.
This happened back in Feb. 2003 and still she
persist in her threats. Ebays rules state that personal info is only given in relationship to business. This matter is past 60 days
out, so its not considered ebay business any longer. Now its simply considered harassment, of which she has involved ebay,
making them liable for harassment also.
