EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back!

HERE IS WHAT RIP-OFF REPORT SUGGESTS YOU DO:

..go to your bank, and tell them you want to file a Federal Regulation E form for fraudulent activity to your account. According to the majority of you interviewed by Rip-off Report, when you first found the charge, you immediately called your bank and the bank said either, they could not do anything for you or that, you waited too long because it was more than 30 or 60 days.

If the bank is saying you waited too long, explain to them, you had called the Bank 800 number as soon as you found the charge and they told you the bank could NOT do anything for you, (which is a bunch of BULL) ..you tell the bank they gave you the wrong info to begin with, that they will just have to deal with it and reverse the charges ..

Tell them the truth; this was unauthorized and your account was NOT to be charged! Keep emphasizing you never authorized anything Direct them to the hundreds of victims that filed on Rip-off Report.com, ..if you're at the bank, walk them over to their computer and make them go to this site! ..if you are on the phone with them, tell them you will wait while they access this site! Be persistent! . Rip-off Report has logged, as of today, 3,788 e-mailed complaints. Many Rip-off Reports filed have many victims filed inside each Report.

DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!

Let them know nicely, that you were advised to Report them (the Bank) and this situation to the Banking Commission in your state..( each state has a different name for the agency over banks, find that name before you call or get to the bank so you can throw that in their face) just continue to demand the Federal Regulation E form! ..The bank can/MUST and WILL reverse the charge! You must be persistent, ask to speak to the supervisor or, the area supervisor for all the branches in the state. Let them know you are meeting with the media later in the day, that you would much rather they do the right thing, as most other banks have, by looking at the complaints and then, immediately reversing the charge(s) to your account, no matter how long ago it was....

If you have to, be loud (but nice) in front of other customers. If you are just calling by phone, the above should still work. They can fax you the Federal Regulation E form.

Let us know how you do!

I got MY MONEY BACK

AUTHOR: Tracy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, March 06, 2004

I wound up reporting them to ITC, BBB, talked with many attorneys. I have filed with the canadian police.. Which is something everyone must do .... Then I wrote a letter to my bank and explained what happened and my bank returned the amount and is now pursueing prime one for the money... This is what you must do.. Or at least one of the steps... File complaints with the above.

Lets get them, My wife and I were a victim of this scam.

AUTHOR: Troy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, March 04, 2004

When they called us we got the guys name that we were talking to and the phone number. When it was all said and done he said that they needed a 217.00 payment and that when we got our cards we could take a cash advance off of it and pay it....

I called a few days later to see if the cards have been sent. I asked to talk to the guy we talked to before and the operator said that it was impossiable for me to do that. She said that they had to recieve payment before they sent the cards. I explained what he told us and she again said that was impossiable. After talking to this very educated women (not) She said it sounded like to her that I was trying to get something for nothing.....

If someone is ready lets get'em

Prime One got me good

AUTHOR: Sunshine - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 13, 2004

I recieved a call from a gentlemen about this awsemone deal on a credit card but I need only pay a onetime fee of 187.00 for my mastercard that has the mastercard symbol and is accepted worldwide unlike some cards. Well I got a card, I am not sure what it is for it has no symbol and it expires in a year. Not only that but the kicker when I activate this card I will be charged 200 dollar activation fee that they will wave if I make a purchase of 500 dollars or more in the first 30 days. Fortunately I smelled a rat and did not activate the card. However, what if I had. would I than be billed another 200 dollars. Than upon reading the fine print in the back they will deduct my payments automatically from the account information I provided them. The only way to stop this is to write them a letter and send it. I want to nail these ***** so they can not do this to anyone else. But, what do I do?
