PROGRESSIVE READERS MAGAZINES Called and sold magazines that never came and then called back to sell more HAROLD, Kentucky

    I recieved a call from this company offering me magazines for free.  Then with a lot of double speak they sold me magazines for a price.  Then after a few months, they called and asked how I was enjoying my magazines.  When I told them I hadn't recieved them, the caller immediately put a manager on the phone.  He wanted a lot of personal information to verify that I was who I said I was.  This set off a lot of alarms.  I told them to refund my money, I hadn't recieved any magazines, and not to contact me again.

    Do not fall for this scam.  When they have you on the phone, they will tell you that the call is being recorded several times and repeat what it is you are to agree to.  Also, you cannot call back on the number that they called you from.  It is apparently a non-working number.
