I participated in this nonsense in the early 80's when it was packaged as EST, later to become Landmark.

If this isn't just another evolution, it is certainly the same nonsense repackaged!

This is 2011; Not 1997, and PSI is still a RIP OFF

AUTHOR: Josie - (USA)

* I don't know the author, but this was posted on face book by a friend (who doesn't know the author either). thought it was worth sharing.

Call it a hazard, but I can't look at the PSI graduates without thinking, "Who parented these people?" Here, then, are five things the mothers of PSI Grads should have taught their children but obviously didn't, so I will:

1* Life isn't fair. The concept of justice - that everyone should be treated fairly - is a worthy and worthwhile moral
imperative on which our nation was founded. But justice and economic equality are not the same. Or, as Mick Jagger said, "You can't always get what you want." No matter how you try to "level the playing field," some people have better luck, skills, talents or connections that land them in better places. Some seem to have all the advantages in life but
squander them, others play the modest hand they're dealt and make up the difference in hard work and perseverance, and some find jobs on Wall Street and eventually buy houses in the Hamptons. Is it fair? *** question.

2* Nothing is "free." There is no magic money machine to tap for your meandering careers and "slow paths" to adulthood. And taking a PSI seminar will not provide you with the tools to have a better live. While I'm pointing out this obvious fact, here are a few other things that are not free: overtime for police officers and municipal workers, trash hauling, repairs to fixtures and property, condoms, Band-Aids and the food that inexplicably appears on the tables. Real people with real jobs and real dollars are earning their money by WORKING for it, not wasting it on PSI Seminars and
believing the universe will provide.

3* Your word is your bond. When you demonstrate to others their need to take a PSI Seminar you are advocating precisely the lack of integrity you decry in others. not the fantasy you created in your mind. No one forces you to borrow
money; you are free to choose your pursuits that don't require loans, or to seek technical or vocational training that allows you to support yourself and your ongoing educational goals. Also, for the record, being a PSI grad does not entitle your to a state of victimization.

4* Most of PSI Grads are doing this only for attention and fun. Serious people in a sober pursuit of social and political change don't dance jigs in ball rooms in hotels like attendees of a Renaissance festival. You look foolish, you smell gross,
you are clearly high and/or ***, and you don't seem to realize that all around you are people who deem you irrelevant.

5* There are reasons you haven't found jobs. The truth? Your tattooed necks, gauged ears, facial piercing and dirty dreadlocks and for the girls, your sagging boobs in low cut dresses are off-putting. Nonconformity for the sake of nonconformity isn't a virtue. Occupy reality: find a mirror and face the problem. It's not them. It's you, the PSI Graduate.

PSI was a fantastic experience for me

AUTHOR: Ducky - (Ireland)

Hi, I attended a PSI training in Manila in 1996/7 on the recommendations of my Dad who had attended and loved it.

Its now the year 2011 and I have long since left Manila, I found myself sitting here at my computer thinking back to an experience I had while attending that course and decided to look PSI up online.

It was such a powerful experience for me in my life attending that course I can honestly say it changed me for the better, my attitude and outlook changed and I am a more positive and spiritual person because of attending it, so it surprises me to see people speak negatively of it and it being a cult etc.

Maybe the organisation has changed I dont know, I attended a long time ago but there was no way what I attended was anything other than a personal empowerment and development course. It was sensational and intense but 'just' educational.

I would recommend what I attended to everyone, for me there was no follow up or doctrine as such and no organisation to be a member of, so for me I dont understand it being called a cult?

I attended the course and brought the learning with me through life rather than bringing any group or society along, I left the organisation PSI at the door in Manila in 1996/7, I cant recall which year it was exactly when the course ended.

I would love to attend again, it was an amazing experience.

Poor Man, Rich Man

AUTHOR: David - (United States of America)

I attended the PSI Basic Seminar in 2008 as well as the Life Success Course (PSI-7) and Men's Leadership Seminar (MLS) because I wished to accompany my wife at Principia 2008. We ended our 2008 year by participating in the Pacesetter Leadership Dynamic (PLD) course.

Since then, we attend Principia annually and are looking forward to next months event. It is a time of re-energizing for both of us. For my wife it is her vacation and relaxation time. It provides me new tools and techniques to improve my life and strive for the goals I chose. We hear numerous guest speakers, most are very well known. Most have been on numerous talk shows, noted authors, television celebrities, and well respected in their fields. I never dreamed that I'd meet these people in person or have an opportunity to ask questions of them directly.

Even before attending PSI, I believed that I could find the source of all my anger, disappointments, discouragement, heartache, and a multitude of other negative emotions simply by looking in the mirror. I knew if I wanted something better, it was up to me to make it happen. If I was swindled or felt taken advantage of, I would carefully review and learn from the experience so as to become wiser and more aware so as to hopefully avoid similar circumstances in the future. I have received nothing but value from the time spent with PSI.

One of the first things I discovered about myself is why I fell prey to certain situations. I was able to stop and take a close look at what led me to repeat events and the thought process I used to make my decisions. Once I understood why I made certain choices in my life, I was able to make changes to achieve my desired goals.

I had never heard of EST (Erhard Seminars Training) before today so I researched it.  PSI is not EST. I also looked up Large Group Awareness Training (LGAT) and while there are similarities one can say the same thing about any accredited formal training course. LGAT is too broad a label to assign to PSI and more inaccurate than accurate.

Prior to 2008, I had never traveled more than 500 miles for a vacation. Since PSI (2008) My wife and I have purchased multiple homes and vacation resorts; we annually visit Hawaii, California, and Las Vegas. We've taken multiple International cruises and spent two weeks in France, Italy and Spain.  Why? Because this is what we wanted to do and we wanted to do these things together.

This is what is important to us and we are no where near retirement. What is remarkable is the fact that we are able to do all this at a time when many others are struggling to survive with lost jobs, homes, and the stress of fulfilling everyday needs.  Are we wealthy? No! We are blessed and we choose to live our lives in abundance enjoying every minute life has to offer.

My wife once met a woman who was selling a brand new boat for very little. When asked why, the lady explained that the new boat, RV, and so many other luxuries was the result of life long work and savings and doing without so that upon retiring she and her husband would be able to enjoy life. They had just purchased these things two weeks before he was to retire. The day following his retirement, he passed away.

We never know when our time will come. We can each choose to live every moment as though it may be our last, without regret or play the role of victim and circumstance. Life is an experience, it is not about fairness or equality. It's about what you choose to do with your life. What is important to you? If you are not getting the results you want then I recommend PSI as a means to discover why. It made a difference for me.

Know this, not everyone is the same. Put 50 people in a room, say one sentence and then ask what was heard. You will find numerous varied responses. Does that change what was stated? No, we all hear what we want to hear and we assign meaning based on our experiences, knowledge and background. If I say,"there is a big cat in  my neighbors yard," do you envision a feline, dark-skinned fellow, a type of tractor or something entirely different?

No one needs PSI. Those that want more, better or diffident  results in their life will benefit the most. For some, it will be as stated in the negative responses. That is their experience, it is up to them to make any changes they desire.

Some of the comments refer to a money-back guarantee. As with any guarantee, I suggest you read the agreement carefully. It does state that the entire seminar must be completed in order to be eligible. When I attended, this was of interest to me. I stayed with the idea that was paramount to getting a refund. If after all days and all sessions were completed, I found no value to the course, I was eligible for a refund. The value I received was far greater than the cost of the course.

Better than the money-back guarantee is the lifetime opportunity to take the PSI Basic course (or any portion) as many times, in any city, as often as desired without ever having to pay another cent. My wife went several times before going to PSI-7. We both have repeated the basic (or portions) at various times since.

All the goals I have set, I have achieved and I consistently build on each to achieve more. As for the comments some have made concerning lying about their situations, I chose honesty. Lying is an insult to me and I will not inflict it on others. I treat others as I desire to be treated and when I feel disappointment or disillusioned then I simply look in the mirror.

By definition PSI is not brain-washing. By definition PSI is not a cult. PSI is not EST.  It may loosely be classified as a LGAT in the grossest sense. I am unfamiliar with any jargon or terminology associated with PSI. I have not staffed any courses because I exercise my right to say no if it is not in alignment with my goals including day-to-day life activities. I have great respect for those that do sacrifice their time to volunteer, they are truly dedicated to making the world a better place. Just remember that as human beings they may make mistakes. How do you deal with imperfection?

Will it make a difference in your life? Very likely! Whether it is a positive or negative experience is based solely on the individual. Each person gets exactly what they want or choose to get from it. At my PSI Basic graduation, I made the comment, "I wish I'd known about this years ago." After some reflection, I later realized that it didn't matter if I'd known about it earlier. I was in a different frame of mind and would never attend any course associated with personal growth or development because I knew who I was, what I wanted and where I was going. What I didn't realize then was how to get there, PSI gave me the tools to map out my life's journey and I set sail.

If someone asks you to go to the PSI Basic seminar then ask yourself this question.
Do you trust the person who asked you? Your answer ought to be no, otherwise you'd not be reading this.

I made the comment to my wife, "I'm glad I'd not researched PSI prior to attending. Had I done so, I would have sabotaged myself." If you are reading this, then it's too late for you. All I can say is to go with an open mind, listen carefully to what is said, participate fully with the mindset that perhaps you may learn something new and if you complete all days and all sessions without benefit then you get your money back. It was not until the last day that changed my life.

PSI Bad Review or Good Review? PSI is worthwhile.

AUTHOR: Denver musician - (U.S.A.)

As a recent participant in both Landmark Education and PSI Seminars, I feel compelled to clarify the value of these courses. I'm mostly answering the question of whether PSI is worth your time and money since I feel they run a better seminar with stronger results.

I will say this, if someone said they were thinking of doing the Landmark Forum, and asked me if I think they should. My answer would be, yes, definitely jump in and explore your life.

I did Landmark. They are intense. They are missing the lightness and ease by which PSI works. They also, don't offer the manifestation tools PSI does.

If someone asked me Landmark Forum or PSI Basic, I'd say PSI Basic is the better choice, if only because they offer a money back guarantee for the Basic and better tools for success.

First, PSI operates from a different place than Landmark. If you have seen the 'The Secret' with Bob Proctor(Netflix and the library have it) and or like the book, 'Chicken Soup for the Soul', you will like the concepts taught at PSI seminars. Both of these highly successful people support PSI as a form of personal and professional exploration. They are good people with positive outlooks on life.

The PSI work is clean, effective and life changing. I just invited a colleague who attended a PSI Basic this weekend 7-18-2011. He is a hardworking, successful family man in Colorado. He was so grateful for the course and the insights he gained from it he broke down in tears. He saw openings in his business he hadn't seen before as well as in his personal life he described as life changing.

Life changing...

This is a common response from participants in the course to the person who invited them. Not all people love the courses. Many do though. If you really want to see if it's great, go to the completion evening after a PSI Basic weekend and listen to people share for yourself. Real people from all walks of life getting answers to questions they have asked for years.

On a side note, I think it's funny how people will spend tens of thousands of dollars on cars, boats, or a tv and still say their lives are mediocre. Yet, spending a weekend and $500-600 to improve their life is a question when someone they know suggests it.

Best of luck in your personal and professional journey. It was great for me. Perhaps, you will benefit.

Gabriel D.

Michelle now all you have to do is say NO to them

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

I am glad that you feel that your experience was life changing. Many of us carried the same feelings forward for MANY years. Now all you have to do is learn to say NO to them when they start asking you to commit every last available second of your life and not to mention much more money! You will have to endure the very deliberate guilt trips by many different people stating "that you are breaking your word" for not continuing to support the center. That you had made a commitment. You will be harassed by everyone and their mother. You will see that PSI is nothing more than a cult. You are there to recruit for this cult and when you stop you will be a punching bag. PSI is an evolution of the Forum, and EST. Do a Google search and look at the piece that 60 Minutes did on it.

PSI Seminars - Is it a cult?

AUTHOR: Michelle - (U.S.A.)

When my husband, Paul, and I went to PSI Seminars - we figured it was just another seminar. My philosophy is, even if I learn one thing that will help me and my family, it is money well spent...so we went. We never dreamed how much we would learn about ourselves. The experiences we had and the closeness we now share in our marriage is wonderful. I would pay thousands of dollars to do it and the basic is about the same as any real estate seminar. I am a better wife, mother, friend and business owner now that I have attended the Success series - I am excited to attend women's leadership in May of 2008!

Don't wait! Get this information today. I remember the gal that told us about it...I thought she was way too happy! Imagine that! How can you be too happy? I now realize that I was simply in my own world, doing my own thing and I had no idea there was something like this out there to push me beyond any limits of personal growth that I knew.

Paul and I attended a FREE presentation and decided to go. It was the best money we ever spent! When we were leaving, Paul turned to me and said, "You know you could probably teach this seminar we just paid for?" I said, "Yeah, I know...if we get one thing...it will be worth it." Little did I know...I could NOT teach it!! I learned more in a weekend about myself than I had in years.

The Basic is typically held in Scottsdale. It is Thursday evening, Friday evening and Sat and Sun. We didn't have to miss work to attend and that was great. We participated in 40 to 60 small exercises throughout the weekend and it was a way for us to see how we show up in the world. What an interesting way to allow us to see ourselves. There were no physical challenges like you see in the photo....that is the advanced seminar at High Valley Ranch, CA. It was easy to do and so eye opening. We learned about leadership, honesty, integrity, win / win, giving, and relationships. All good stuff!

The people that I see that slam PSI are the ones that don't want to look at themselves and change. It is hard work. I understand. It is not always fun. I understand that too. Sometimes when people come from a much lower level mind-set they have a difficult time taking personal responsibility and that is what PSI is all about.

The postings I see that are negative are all fear based. People that need to be right, come from a victim standpoint and simply don't "get it". The people I see in PSI are leaders that don't follow anyone quickly. They are not simpletons that will follow anyone and I find it humorous when people suggest otherwise.

The best advice I can give you is...trust yourself. If you are an intelligent person you won't take advice from the Internet as law. No one locks the doors behind you...they are held at the Hilton, you think they are going to lock you in? Take responsibility and check it out for yourself....what if it is the greatest thing since fire and you miss out? Will that work for you?

Uhealu, you are an idiot! 60 Minutes did a show on this CULT!!!

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

PSI, Landmark, and EST are the same! You are correct in one area....When you complete a brain washing seminar they strongly suggest you volunteer to help staff and recruit for the next seminars. The amount of mind fucking that they do is incredible! They try to get you to recruit anyone (including family members) and strongly urge you to distance yourself from people who don't want anything to do with it. I was involved with it in the late eighties and watched it ruin so many relationships! You really should do some searching for yourself and you will see why 60 minutes did a show on these folks! If you watch it your rose colored glasses that you are wearing will turn clear.

Brainwash, cult, EST? PSI is none of these...

AUTHOR: Uhealu - (U.S.A.)

I have been through 3 of the PSI Seminars and have "staffed" the basic.

What many people don't seem to realize is that the bulk of the "staff" at many of the seminars and functions are NOT employees of the company (as was the case when I staffed the Basic). They are PSI graduates who are volunteering their time because they see positive changes in people and have a desire to help create more value in people's lives.

Brainwash - to remove a person's ability to make rational choices; to force a belief upon a person such that they have no choice or say; to remove a person's ability to decide for themselves so as to produce immediate automatic responses based along the beliefs of another.

PSI - all about learning to make rational, conscious-thought-based choices.

Hence - brainwashing = autoresponse; PSI = (your own) choice

You get out of PSI what YOU put into it - nothing more, nothing less.
Neither PSI, nor anyone at PSI forces you to do anything. You are your own master, you and you alone have the choice to make your own decisions.

Pain is - Suffering is optional. We are what we believe. We are capable of all we believe we are capable of. I am living an amazing life, filled with abundance.

..... if PSI graduates were all brainwashed, wouldn't they all (over 500,00 of them) be walking around like zombies, or confined to a camp or prevented from opening their mouth to speak about their experiences????

I hardly think my friends consider me a zombie - quite the opposite. I have begun to "come out of my shell" and relearned (yes, that means I already knew it at one time) how to live. I now have a positive, excited outlook on life.

I am no longer frightened out of my wits to stand on a 2nd-story balcony and look over the edge. Nor am I (now) afraid to walk up to a perfect stranger to say hello.

And NO ONE at PSI told me I wasn't allowed to say anything about MY experiences. What we were told (with good reason) is that we were NOT ALLOWED to speak about ANYONE ELSE's experience. Those belong to them and them alone.

Oh, BTW, Landmark is still out there - and it also is nothing like EST.

Also, The PSI Basic Seminar has a money-back guarantee. I have not heard of any other seminar of any type making that offer.

live love laugh - enjoy life to its fullest measure...

Father Lost To PSI

AUTHOR: Notanidiot - (U.S.A.)

Steve,

I feel for you... I am deeply sorry to hear about your loss. Because that is what has happened, your partner is gone. I know because the man that raised me is gone as well... lost in the abyss of PSI.

I don't recognize this human that I only hear from when he is on a recruiting streak, failing for the umpteenth time to recruit his own daughter. I don't know this man that no longer plays the guitar, watches sports, rides bikes or socializes with friends. I don't know this man that is taking classes about forgiveness and redemption of guilt and has yet to apologize for disrespecting my Mother and putting me in an awkward position.

I have come to terms with the fact that I will never again see that man that experienced both the joys and sorrows of life. I have had no choice but to bury him, figuratively. He bought the coffin himelf and laid down in it while still full of life... lured by the promise of "freedom from pain". Well, PSI has something right, Death is the only freedom from pain...

The 'Stepford Being' that dwells in the mortal shell of my Father is pleasant, but full of hypocrisy. He lies and manipulates as PSI has instructed in an attempt to recruit and to "smooth things over" with those he has wronged (so he can recruit THEM successfully) and I cry for him because, despite all the bad things that befell him early in life, he was a good person. But as others have stated, people fall victim to this lunacy when they are low and vulnerable. It is disgusting. It is rape. And I can just hear some "PSI Officer" laughing and cackling while reading this, saying "You can't rape the willing!"

Know this, I will never EVER forgive PSI for taking advantage of my Father and many tortured souls like him. PSI has robbed him of REAL EXISTENCE and the HUMAN EXPERIENCE. And when he does pass, no matter what that headstone reads, I will always see, "Here lies *** once husband, once father, killed off prematurely by PSI".

Happy PSI Seminars Graduate

AUTHOR: Manager Mom - (U.S.A.)

I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in here. I went to the basic course in California about 12 years ago (it's about $450) and it changed my life for the better. I did not stay in contact with anyone from the seminar so I don't know why people think it's a cult.

In response to the girl who only went the first night....she really needed to stay for the entire four days before judging. I agree that the first night was slightly irritating...until you go back and the pieces start fitting together of the previous days events. It was eye-opening and positive in my experience.

I also ended up taking one of the expensive extended courses about 5 years later as well and didn't think it was worth the cost, but I didn't think it was horrible either. A lot of other people really liked it.

Everyone has their own way of learning and growing and this may or may not be a good fit for everyone. I'm just here to say I have good memories of my seminar and it was a positive thing in my life. I'm glad I went. One negative thing I can agree with is that they are a bit too "high-pressured" trying to get you to go to the extended courses, which was disappointing to me. So if you know that going into it, you can be ready to say no :)

In response to one other comment - It's really sad if there is a seminar leader taking advantage of people. I hope that person isn't with PSI anymore if that is true.

PSI cost me my Job, my respect and my self worth..

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

Well, the inevitable fallout of my involvement with PSI Seminars continues. Today I lost my job. The company that I worked for asked me to resign from my position. I have never been asked to leave a job before in my entire life. Luckily I have a college degree in a technical field that allows me to find work easily. So hopefully, my unemployment situation will only be temporary.

Just to give you an idea of what I lost. I lost what some would consider a dream job. It was a technical sales job for an international corporation. I worked from home, had a virtually unlimited expense account, nice car allowance, company computer, company cell phone, etc. Yes I was set. That is until I crossed paths with PSI Seminars.

So how does PSI fit into this picture? Well those of you who have been reading this my life started going in the crapper when I left PSI after realizing they are a cult and were manipulating me as well as everyone else.

I got into PSI because a good friend at the time recommended that I do the courses because it could help me be more successful and have a better life. I fell for it hook, line and sinker. I joined PSI in the fall of 2006. Learned their "technology" and upon recommendation from my instructors decided to use it in my job and on my clients. I recruited many of my clients because I felt uneasy about doing that sort of stuff. Then around March of 2007 my sales went in the toilet. I couldn't close a sale anymore. I was having a difficult time keeping up with my job and things started slipping. But I held on to the belief that everything would turn around for me. But it really never did. Hell, I was so involved with PSI I didn't see what was going on and I really didn't care.

Then my girl friend at the time started getting it through my brain washed skull that I wasn't right. Once I woke up and left PSI the damage had already been done. I spiraled down into a deep depression that has been with me since June of 2007 when I left. Only recently after months of therapy and finally getting medication things started turning around for me. But it was too late. I was informed towards the end of 2007 by my boss that the company was concerned that I wasn't a good fit for the position. 2008 had started off good for me. I was back on track. Finished closing some new business and I was working my a** off making sales calls. I was in the lead on new business signings and was doing more sales calls that most of the sales staff were doing combined. I thought and felt I had made it and dodged the bullet. I had new business getting ready to drop and my customers were happy with me.

Then today was my day for my yearly review and planning. I talked with my boss first thing Friday morning about stuff I needed to prepare for my review. A few minuets later he called me back and told me to turn in everything! Up until that time I was looking forward to today. I had on my company dress shirt looking all corporate. I was pumped up about what was going on in my sales territory and I was going to ask for a larger territory because things were going so well.

The point I'm trying to make here. Is that once you get involved with PSI Seminars you're basically screwed if you stay on past the "PSI Seminars". It will jack up your life so bad that no matter how hard you try you may not be able to recover from it. It will destroy your life as you know it. Once the damage is done, it's done, there is no repairing it. In the end you will probably be forced to basically start you whole life over again.

Since I joined PSI I have lost a relationship with a woman that wanted to have my children even though she had decided before hand that she was through having kids, I've seen my physical and mental health deteriorate to the point that I've had to be put on medications for various ailments, I've lost friends that we're close to me, incurred debt where there was none before, and screwed up a promising career with a job that most would die for, which I finally lost today.

So here I am sitting at alone by myself in a cold apartment because I can't afford to run the heat wondering when I'm going to find a new job and how I'm going to pay my bills.

Thank you PSI for helping me obtain this wonderful life! Now I ask this....All you PSI graduates out there calling afoul of this posting. Is this the life full of possibility you all want? Read it and weep because this is what you're going to get when it's all said and done. And, for all of you out there that has not taken the PSI Seminars yet, and has friends and relatives wanting you to take it. Pay attention to what I have just written, as well as all of my postings. This is what you may very well have to look forward to if you get involved with PSI. If you're smart you will turn around and run like hell the other way every time someone tries to recruit you into PSI. Believe me when I say this...No good will come of it. It's just like getting drunk or high, it might feel great while your doing it, but the hang over is a B***H!!

Again, another victim of PSI speaks out

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

I write this post absolutely broken hearted, horrified, nauseated and exhausted. I need some support here, please, from anyone who can give it.

I've broken up with my boyfriend (I hate that word, he was far more to me than that) over PSI Seminars.

I thought he was my true love, but now of course I can see that he is not what I thought at all. We've been together for 8 months, and we were very much in love, but of course there were many signs that he was unstable -- he'd had a breakdown once, psychiatry, etc. I thought it was all in the past, but I was a fool who didn't want to see what was in front of me.

Plus, he told me it was in the past. He said he was strong. Now he admits that he lied. Now he says he's really weak. He says he needs PSI.

He'd been seeing this "Coach" which seemed like a bunch of bullshit to me. She recommended PSI Seminars to him. I looked it up and found out it was "EST" reincarnate. I couldn't BELIEVE it. I thought EST was dead!!!

But no, no. It is very much alive.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I've spent a week or more in hell. I tried everything to talk him out of it, and I sent him REAMS of information about EST and PSI Seminars, lot of it from this site.

He ignored it. He ignored me.

He went, and now he's a f****** believer. He's spouting jargon. He's talking rackets and stories and authenticity. And he is more confused than ever about the nature of reality. He thinks life is meaningless and empty. He can't connect with me AT ALL anymore and he doesn't even begin to acknowledge my heart break and pain.

Where did the man go with whom I was in love, and who loved me, he said, with everything he had? Where is the man who seemed capable of rational thought and had a functioning b***** detector? The man who didn't want to spend a lot of money on things because he's ALREADY in credit card debt?? Now he's throwing his money at this awful scheme.

He's gone, I've lost him, and in his place is this quivering weakling who can't think for himself at all. He seems incapable of rational discernment and like he WANTS to be brainwashed by PSI.

I'm so horrified. I don't believe in anything PSI teaches. I think they're a sick, sinister money making mind-fucking machine for weak willed people who haven't a clue as to who they are and what life is about, who can't deal with reality, and need an escape.

God, that will offend a lot of people here, who have done PSI. I'm sorry about that. It's how it looks to me, from the outside, and anyway in his case it is absolutely the truth. He basically admits it. It's like he has no shame about it, and doesn't care who knows it.

I thought he loved me, I thought I brought out the best in him. He knows how I feel about all of this, but it doesn't seem to matter at all. He just signed up for the "advanced course."

My heart is broken. He's gone forever. How do I cope with this? I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.

What has stunned me the most is that this very intelligent, or so I thought, person is just unwilling to examine all the information against PSI.

Before he took the course, he didn't want to go to their website. He was afraid of what he'd see there! He wouldn't even tell me the name of what he was going to, but I checked it out myself and then all hell broke loose.

So it's like some people are so desperate that they will willingly close their eyes and walk into the fire if they think it will relieve their pain on some level. They'll try anything.

Of course PSI relieves some pain, because it tells them things that are impossible! Like, you can be at ease in any situation, you can be free and courageous all the time, and you can be free of your past -- all in ONE WEEK.

Wow! How amazing! It sounds too good to be true . . . . AND IT IS!!!!

It's a load of CRAP!!!

I've never witnessed human behavior like this in my life. He's shameless about this, even about spending all this money. It's like he has no value system. Just think of what could be done with all the money spent on these self-aggrandizing programs!

I think also, he isn't content to be who he is. He needs to be something MORE than who he is. Some Uber man, some demi god, I don't know. He can't just be himself, and Landmark caters to that, because now you are not yourself, you are a new POSSIBILITY for . . . . Whatever.

What helps me the most is deconstructing PSI theories and premise.

Stories, rackets, authenticity, all their buzzwords -- what do they really mean? We tell our loved ones it's a bunch of b***** but we need to be able to clearly articulate why because they can't see it for themselves. It's like . . . SO OBVIOUS . . . but since they need it spelled out for them, we need to be able to spell it.

To me, it is a really twisted over-simplification of somewhat esoteric concepts, taken out of the context of their original cultures and traditions, and re-packaged for an impatient and confused and ego-driven American culture. The result is an almost crippling lack of understanding of reality and, I think, the beginnings of a sociopathic mental breakdown.

Already, after one week, I can see this happening, because he is now removed from me in a way he'd never been before, and unwilling to hear me, and uncaring about my heart and feelings for the first time ever.

It's such a mind-f***, because he's telling me he hoped PSI would improve our relationship -- which is really only being held back by his fear of commitment, so he had said. But I told him, it would NOT improve it, because I don't WANT to have a relationship with a jargon spouting PSI DRONE!!!

AND THAT"S WHAT HE IS NOW!!!

He came out of the damn PSI 7 TRANSFORMED, and guess what he did right away? He tried to recruit me! ME!! And I had specifically told him not to EVER do that!

Oh, but it's out of love, of course. He says he hopes now we can have a "real" connection. WHAT THE HELL WERE WE HAVING????

He's spouting jargon left and right, which I know he doesn't even understand, and he just shelled out another $4000 (gasp, choke) for the Leadership Course. It's just the beginning.

Well, anyway. He won't listen to anything, and I can see that this will really mess with his obviously impressionable head and take over his life, and he will keep pushing me away because now I am a threat to him because I don't believe in what he's doing. He'll meet some screwed up PSI woman and live happily and "authentically" ever after.

Someone knock me over the head with a brick. I need to be unconscious for a while.
