They sent me this e-mail is response to uploading my resume to them. After researching them further, I learned their website was just created on December 17, 2009 in The Bahamas, and I have seen that they also have run the same scam with the same dialogue about being incorporated since November 1999 under a variety of other fake business names and e-mail addresses. Not one phone number works from their website, nor the one provided in the e-mail, notr the direct e-mail to this HR rep, Katherine Jones. Note that my name is Darwin E, and their likely automated e-mail refers to my name in reverse. Here is the e-mail...
From: Katherine Jones [mailto:Employment@PSX-Corporate.com] Sent: Tuesday, December 29, 20098:39 AM To: E Darwin Subject: Re: Office Manager Needed ASAP! (Kansas City) - We are excited to speak with you It is great to hear from you E Darwin, Thank you for e-mailing us. In case the post was not clear, the responsibilities of employment are as follows: you will be answering the phone and taking messages when applicable, you will be scheduling our company meetings, and running errands for the company for things such as purchasing office supplies and making bank deposits (you will be provided with a company car). While you are running errands, you will also be given one of our company credit card(s) for all business purchases. You seem very qualified for this position, and more so than others we have received emails from today. I would like to take the next step with you. However, before I can set up a formal meeting, PSX will require that you obtain a recent(past 14-21 business days) credit report. We at PSX Corporate enforce this because we have unfortunately had some bad experiences with prior employees taking advantage of having a company credit card. Both myself and PSX heavily prefer it if you use (((Redacted))) to acquire this information as they are currently offering a credit report, at zero cost to you. We at PSX Corp. have also found that their scores always report back the most factual and accurate information compared to others. All potential applicants are to complete this step as suggested by our branch of the BBB. After you submit all necessary information, their company will show you your personal credit report. Then, you will need to email me your reported credit score, and we will then be able to schedule for our formal meeting. I ask you to please not email me your entire credit report, as it will most likely have private information in the report. If you currently have a lower than expected credit score, it will not prevent you from a future position with us. If you do not wish to send in a recent credit check, unfortunately we will need to meet with other applicants. Personally, I am excited to fill this position and looking forward to your quick response.
