SCAMMERS USE LEGITIMATE BUSINESS NAMES AND BANKS TO APPEAR LEGITIMATE

AUTHOR: Laurie - (U.S.A.)

Just because it claims to be from Publishers Clearinghouse does not mean it is.

I suggest you contact Publishers Clearinghouse directly - not using any of the contact info provided in the letter. You can find the valid information on the internet.

Generally if an address is provided - if you try to map it, you will find it does not exist. If you try to locate a website using internet search, you will usually find that it also does not exist.

Is this really from PUblisher's Clearing House?

AUTHOR: Northwest - (U.S.A.)

The information they request is not standard for awarding prizes, but is common to scammers. Are you really sure this is from Publisher's clearing House? In addition to the Nigerian fortunes I can have, I also get e-letters with logos of well established businesses that are going to give me something and then start requesting a lot of information not needed to give anything away.
