In fact, they ended up staying 4.5 hours. Their sales people were nice, but when we couldn't agree on a price, their head honcho got on the phone with me and started the whole sales pitch again. I was so tired by then I finally just told him I was done and handed the phone to the sales person. Here's the thing. I've have several quotes for windows in the past and their starting AND ending price (which I would "get" with Pacific if I promised to do testimonials, etc) were way higher than anything I've ever been quoted in the past. This was supposed to be their discounted price! They could not give me firm numbers on financing, yet wanted me to give them $1,000 as a good faith deposit. Said I had to show good faith as the consumer? They wanted me to give two total strangers who came to my house, cash! Their manager guy on the phone was actually trying to change my color choice on the phone! That tells me they really didn't have that option or maybe it cost them more. Not my problem.
Their desperation should have been the sure sign that they are not a good business to deal with. When a business is good, word of mouth, quality products and service will keep it in business. It doesn't need all that hard-core telemarketing and arm-twisting (the whole ploy about using my testimonial, which interestingly--another red flag--requires my promise to not discuss price with anyone). Give me a break.
I just viewed their testimonial videos on their website. They are so poorly produced it's embarrasing. You can't even hear what the customer is saying, and they don't show the windows...how weird is that? I'm so glad I didn't do business with them.
