On the 15th of August I submitted two rebate submissions on two Hitachi hard disk drives purchased from Newegg.com to Parago, Inc. They received one on the 24th of August and the other on the 1st of Sept.

One they honoured but to date they refuse to issue the payment on the one received on the 24th of August in spite of the fact they acknowledge it is in processing and has conformed to all submission requirements.

I have contacted them no less than six times and have received no less than six lies for my pains. Each time I was told to wait thirty more days and that my case was being expedited and referred to a supervisor for "special" handling. Apparently this is a pattern for Parago as there are numerous complaints about the company doing this very thing in a variety of forums on the internet.

It appears that what they are doing with multiple submissions is issuing one rebate and then keeping the rest. This company is a fraudulent enterprise and is willfully using the postal service to perpetrate their crimes and needs to be shut down immediately. To that end I did lodge a mail fraud complaint with the USPS but I thought filing a complaint on this website was warranted as well.
