I was on my way to work on August 16, 2005 at about 12:30p.m., traffic is running at a normal speed on Lucas St. (Lucas and 2nd St.) in the City of Los Angeles. A Parking violations officer (female) is driving infront of me vehicle as she speaks on her cell phone, all of a sudden she stops causing me to press on my car brakes and almost hit the rear of her vehicle. I honked and went around her vehicle to continue my way to work.
She followed me and does exactly what I did honked and went around my vehicle and laughing at me shows me thru her car window the intrument that they use to write tickets and starts punching in my plate numbers, I swear to God that I thought she was mocking me that she was giving me a ticket.
Guess what? She has the dishonesty to write a ticket for $65 dollars that allegedly I was parked in a Red Zone on Union St. in Los Angeles, I NEVER drive thru Union while going to work. Union Street is passed my job place. Not just she wrote a ticket that is false but lied about me parking on a Street that I never drive by.
I think my case is outrageous, ilegal, I can't even find a name to discribe it, to me it even doesn't make sense. How can I prove that I was not driving on that street, how can I prove that it was a personal issue and that ticket is totally fraudulent. How can the City of Los Angeles have such corrupt and dishonest employees.
I will try to contest this ticket but I don't have any proof but my honest word.
This is so wrong!
I am so upset!

Join the club with tens of thousands of others.
First, I suggest you place the word "Parking" in the search box. All reports filed on parking citation problems will then come up. And there are lots and lots out of Los Angeles (Yours is the second to last one showing.) Scroll down and read the the information contained in Richard's report from Mission Hills. The last entry was made on 2/24/05. There's lots of information in that report specifically pertaining to the Los Angeles parking citation racket.
The dipshit that wrote the fraudulent ticket is a City of Los Angeles employee, trained by the LA Dept.of Transportation, whereas the Parking Violations Bureau is a privately contracted company.
Call the PVB and demand a copy of the ticket info be mailed to you. It'll show not only the parking "officer's" name, but all details which is required to show your vehicle's VIN number.
Obviously, the dishonest "officer" could not have obtained that info.
There are a few LA troubleshooters that have solved problems for people who have been issued fraudulent tickets. I suggest after you get the detailed information from the ticket itself, that you call one of these 3 people.
Patricia Cunningham (213)485-4783
Max Reyes (213)847-0522
Judith O'Conner (213) 487-0281
They are all employed by the LA Dept of Transportation, and have been most helpful to others.
Explain your problem and the circumstances that you wrote in this ripoff report. And good luck.
