 Party Max, Miami (now located in Opa Locka FLA) and the owner, Gaston Bencaquen ripped us off!  We rented over $3,000 for equipment for an event that was to happen in several weeks.  Within days of placing the order the event was cancelled. NO equipment was ever received.  Eventually, Gaston agreed to refund the money.  He never did.  He and his staff would not return our phone calls. Finally, after calling from a different number that we knew they would not recognize, they picked up. We were told that a check had been written but not signed. We continued to get the run-around and finally we were told that they spent our money on business expenses!  This was AFTER they agreed to refund the money - therefore, spending OUR money on their business!  They continued to give us the run-around and we eventually reported them to the Better Business Bureau.  They ignored the report.  We were eventually told that Gaston was angry that we reported him to the BBB and wasn't inclined now to refund the money (or words to that effect).  Pary Max never provided us with any rental equipment.  They agreed to refund over $3,000 but never did.  It is my opinion that Gaston Bencaquen is unscrupulous and untrustworthy.  I highly recommend that you rent your equipment from another facility.    Check reviews on this site and on YELP (There were a number of negative reports about him and Party Max Miami/Opa-Locka that we saw after he ripped us off).  I hope that this report will alert others so they will not likewise be ripped off.
