Patriot Van Lines Bait and switch, Liars and Scammers Richmond, Virginia

This company will do anything to get your money and when they do you are screwed. We were told that our things would weigh about 3010 pounds. We were never given the opportunity to give them an exact list of the stuff we had. The representative made up her own list. 

We were quoted around 2400 or maybe a little less. We paid them 1100 as a deposit. Moving day comes and some random company called moving squad comes in and takes a look at our things and tells us that it "looks" like about 8000 pounds and will cost us another $5700. Obviously we do not have that kind of money so we told them we would not be able to have them move our stuff.

They left without moving anything. Now Patriot Van Lines is not giving us a refund. They did not do a service and lied to us to get our money. We ended up having to go and pick up our stuff ourselves with a Uhaul. How can they keep money for doing nothing. Do not believe anything their representatives say, they will say anything to get your money!
