I am an owner of a small internet computer sales company. In april 2001 I purchased what I thought was $2000 worth of close-out computer parts and accessories from USLiquidation.com. When the merchandise arived, most of the merchandise was non-functional and looked nothing like the merchandise pictured on their web site.

After weeks of trying to return the merchandise, I was able to return part of it. In exchange, I received the same broken merchandise back. My company has a PayPal Primier commercial membership in which I pay for all CC transactions. I paid for this purchase using a PayPal E-check. Once I received the merchandise and discovered it all to be defective I filed a claim with PayPal's fraud protection complaint system. I was advised by an employee in the fraud investigation office of PayPal to reverse the payment by having my bank stop payment on the transaction. After I did My PayPal account was frozen and remains as such to this day. A different PayPal employee stated that they do not guarantee the condition of merchandise purchased using their service, only that you get some type of merchandise (even if it does not work)

Since most of my sales transactions were handled through PayPal's credit card processing service, I have esentially been put out of business by USLiquidation.com and their shady business practicies along with PayPal and their lack of consummer protection. If they are going to be handling B2B transactions amounting to thousands of dollars, they had better start providing some sort of insurance against fraud of this type. After all, I'm paying for this service!

Paypal Closed me after 5 years of selling the SAME thing...

AUTHOR: Lisa - (U.S.A.)

Hello,
I am an internet marketer for seven years now.
I started email marketing back when paypal was nothing. Back when there two: PayPlace and PayPal. They had just started. PayPlace didn't make it. It was us internet marketers who made PayPal who they are today. That and the Ebayers.
Somewhere along the way they changed their policies about selling email leads or something.
Not sure when, but I've been a lead broker (no boos please, I deal in 100% optins only) for a long time. All of a sudden they decide it's not ok and close my account. According to their own Acceptable Use Policy the verbage says they can hold the funds for "up to" 180 days. It doesn't say just 180 days. So why do they hold it for the full 180 days? Especially when it's obvious there's no chargebacks on the way, as in my case.
Does anyone think there's a legal stance here?
With that verbage especially saying "upto". It seems like we may have something there. A loophole in their wording to try to get our funds back before the 180 days is over, since it does say "upto 180 days". Anyone care to comment?
Lisa

Try using your PayPal account wisely

AUTHOR: Gordon - (U.S.A.)

1 - Don't respond to fake emails that appear to be from PayPal, whether or not they ask for your username or password. PayPal repeats this in EVERY SINGLE EMAIL that they send to their users.

2 - Don't blame PayPal if you buy something from a company that ships crap to you. You're the one who bought it, there are plenty on customer reviews and BBB-type websites all over the internet where you could find out before you buy something whether the company you're planning on buying from is worth spending your time and money on. (Hint: Try searching for these things on http://www.google.com)

3 - If you really are afraid of gettings bad quality or broken items from a seller, make sure you check the box on PayPal's "buyer protection". If you check that box, then PayPal will reimburse you for the unsatisfactory products.

4 - I've NEVER had ANY problems AT ALL with PayPal, and have had my account for four years now. That makes me wonder whether all these complaints on this topic are real, or just people trying to blame PayPal for their mistakes. If I can go four years with payments going in and out of my account, frequently in large amounts, surely other people can, too.

PAYPAL LIES

AUTHOR: YAROSLAV - ()

IN JANUARY 2002 I HAD A PAYMENT TRANSACTION WITH PAYPAL FOR ONE OF THE ITEMS BEEN SOLD ON EBAY.COM.
TRANSACTION WENT THRU AND DUE TO THE FACT THAT BUYER OF MY ITEM WAS FROM SAME AREA AS I AM I DELIVERED GOODS PERSONALY.

WEEK LATER PAYPAL HAS A CHARGEBACK FROM MY BUYER GREDIT CARD COMPANY.WITHOUT ANY AUTHORISATION ON MY PART THEY WENT AND TOOK MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT AND TRANSFER THEM BACK TO CREDIT CARD COMPANY.WHEN I CONTACTED THEM,ALL I GOT IS RUDEST ANSWERS TO MY COMPLAINT AND WHEN I ASKED FOR SUPERVISOR,CALL WAS SIMPLY DISCONECTED.

AT THIS POINT I AM OUT OF MY GOODS AND MY MONEY.
I FILED A OFFICIAL COMPLAINT TO FTC AND BBB.
ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THAT PAYPAL IS THE BIGGEST RIP-OFF COMPANY ON THE INTERNET WHEN IT COMES TO CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS.FOR ALL THE MONEY THEY CHARGE THEY CAN AT LIST OFFER SECURITY AND FARENESS TO THERE OWN CUSTOMERS.

Six Month Rip-Off w/No Response

AUTHOR: Lola - ()

I have been fighting PayPal for 6 months to correct their errors. I have been asked to fax information to them to verify my account. When attempt to fax, the fax number provided is non-working. When advised by Customer Service to scan and e-mail verification to them, they respond that for "security reasons" they cannot open verification documents forwarded and asked to fax information, yet again, to same non-working fax number!! One more thing, I think they sold my e-mail address to people who are now sending me pornographic e-mail.

I would suggest that NOBODY use services such as paypal.

AUTHOR: - ()

They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report:

Their email: refman09@hotmail.com

Their name: connor

Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion

Rebuttal:

I would suggest that NOBODY use services such as paypal. You are never guaranteed that you will receive what you wish for. Furthermore, if you supply a credit card to them they might sell the information on it to a seperate entity and you'll be SOL! Just don't.. send a check, and if they rip you off just inform your bank and hire a lawyer to sue their ass.
