Actually, you are dead wrong! Ebay/Paypal shipping DOES NOT cost more!

If your Ebay or Paypal account is new that alone will restrict what you can do with your money, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the method of shipping.
As a matter of fact, you get discounted rates when you prepare your shipping labels online, rather than going to the post office. Ebay / Paypal negotiates even further discounts as well.
You should at least have the facts right before spouting jibberish.

eBay and Paypal is a big scam

I sold an item to a buyer. He whined and moaned about how it didn't work. When I got it back, he had stolen half of the parts out of it and switched it for other used and broken parts then just called eBay to file a complaint. I was told I had, I believe, 7 days to respond. I caught the complaint after 5 days, and sent an email explaining what the buyer had done. Within an hour from my email, I got a response from eBay saying that they had made a decision in the buyer's favor.
You to be able to leave negative feedback for buyers but because they didn't want sellers leaving negative feedback just for retaliatory purposes, you can only leave a buyer POSITIVE feedback or none at all.
I would seriously encourage to people to leave negative feedback for people on ROR. ROR doesn't stop you from making a legitimate complaint against a con-artist buyer. I would recommend this path to anyone that has problems with a buyer, eBay or Paypal. Plus, the fees that Paypal now charges is absolutely ridiculous.

Ebay/Paypal IS a ripoff!

I sold a business because I was tired of customers who thought they should get special treatment. You can't give everybody everything they ask for.
The young woman lives in an apartment. How does she pay rent? I'm assuming she eats 2 or 3 meals a day. Who pays for her groceries? She has money coming in from somewhere so why doesn't she use a couple of bucks to ship her stuff?
My daughter has a small home business and uses E-bay and Paypal almost exclusively with no problems. At times, being a divorced mother she came up short on shipping fees and I loaned it to her. But that's what parents do. If my harshness offended you, I'm not sorry.

Well, aside from reading the user agreement, I've been through this process myself. And, yes it certainly is frustrating at first; however if you look at this from the business side of things this makes perfect sense. You're fairly new/new to selling with paypal/ebay. They know very little about you, your selling habits and what you're up too. They're liable for any sort of fraudulent payments sent and for people who rip other users off. Also, you do not have to use an eBay shipping label. They just want tracking information for the item, which is provided for free using the ebay shipping (its actually cheaper using it...but no need to argue that).
Ship your items quickly, the funds will be released quickly as well. Build up the feedback and move on. It's a great service which everyone uses.
