I inquired about purchasing a puppy from this breeder last year. I was told by her she only bred to "better the breed", that the puppies were raised inside the house, and that she only bred one or two litters per year. I wanted to go there to see the puppies and pick one out. She tried everything she could think of as an excuse to keep me from visiting (schedule, busy, too many grooming customers, etc.). I persisted and was granted a visit.



I was horrified by the conditions her dogs live in. The puppies were in a storage building with no a/c units, only fans. It was close to 100 degrees that day. There were some male dogs in the same building that were living in kennel crates. They had no water bowl, and their food was just thrown in the floor of the crate for them to eat. There were no bowls in the crates for food or water. When I asked why they were crated like that she told me it was because her stud dogs fight so she has to rotate them in that one lot that the building is set in.



The stench around that place and in/around the building was sickening. She has hundreds of chickens there and there is mud and feces all over the place. The smell of male dog urine permeated the building and the surrounding lot. The dogs were in lots outside the house and were muddy and matted. As the dogs got excited about a visitor (there were multiple in the pens) they started fighting each other.  She didn't even attempt to break up the fight she just yelled at them. They ignored her, of course.



She had about 20 puppies there. I thought she bred with "care and concern" but it was apparent to me she only breeds for the money. She had three litters on the ground AT ONE TIME.



She may have nice names behind her dogs, but I would not say they are "nice dogs" living there. Once upon a time they may have been, but now they are just dirty breeding machines. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS BREEDER TO ANYONE. DO NOT BUY PUPPIES FROM HER, ESPECIALLY UNSEEN.



For the record, I did report her to her local Animal Control, but did not receive an email back.
