I have had my car loan with this company for 3 years in February 2008. I had a lost of income in 2007, so yes there was some late payments made on the vehicle. But, I sent them a payment every month. November I fell 2 months behind, they had my account in the collection department. At this time, they told me I had owed three payments. Because, I had another payment coming due. They representative I spoke to Emanuel, had made arrangements with me to send in $700 and they was going to defer a payment for December payment.

So therefore, I wouldn't have to pay again until January 1, 2008. I said, great that will give me some christmas money for children for the holidays. They also sent my deferrment papers in the mail. I signed them and faxed them back in. Two weeks, later I get a phone call from this company, telling me I still owe them October, November and December payments.

They also told me my deferrment was denied. Remind you I never recieved any letter in the mail, stating my deferrment was denied. I told them no, I had made arrangements with Emanuel and my account should have been back on track. When, I asked to speak to Emanuel they had told me he no longer works there, so I asked for his supervisor. Of which I had contacted her three times and left her message on her voice mail, she never called back. I get a statment in the mail saying I owed them $1500.

Everytime, they call me they talk to you any kind of way and I tell them where to go and hang-up. Because, I told them that's not how you treat a customer. I have taken on another job in order to keep my vehicle. My credit is not good, so therefore I can't get out of this truck. In addition, I'm upside down in this truck by $7,000. I overpaid in cost and in interest. I have tried to contact them for the past 3 days. The told me my account is no longer in collection department, it's in the repo department. I was going to Western Union them $1,000 and then send them another $500 in two weeks.

But, the jerk who is handling my account will not call me back and that is so called the only person who I can talk to. I don't know what to do. I don't want them to take it because, I have 24 more payments to go. With having two jobs now, I was planning on sending them $1,000 per month, in order to get rid of them. Now, I holding money, I don't what to do with.

deferrment is costly

AUTHOR: Stacey - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, September 20, 2008

We deferred a payment in 2005, which they said would be moved to the end of the loan. What I do not recall being disclosed to me is that this deferrment would continue to collect interest as though it was never paid. What was a small $484.00 payment has now ballooned to well over $2000.00 in 2008. I am trying to contact them to send me the paperwork I originally signed. Looks like this may be a problem for me. That same amount continues to accrue $1.00 - $3.00 each day in interest until the $2000.00 is paid off.
