Penguin cold caps Total misrepresentation. The rep tells desperate women that Thier hair will be save 100% money back gaurantee, but you can lose up to 90%. also, I was told the cost was 500$ a month, but it's more, Internet

All 3 doctors I went for consultation did not recommend this product, since they had seen it and knew it's a waste of money!
It's not up to you to judge, it's up to the Consumer Affairs and legal system to judge.

I am a breast cancer survivor who used Penguin Cold Caps during my chemo (A/C and Taxol) and I am truly grateful for this product.  Nothing this lady says is true. The price of the Cold Caps rental is quoted in British pounds and is estimated around $540 a month for the first 3 months and about $120 a month thereafter, but the dollar exchange rate can fluctuate. 

All the American representatives are themselves cancer survivors and are very sympathetic to their patients. If the Cold Cap user follows all the protocols for hair care and correct use of the caps, they will keep the majority of their hair. There will be some shedding and that is disclosed by both the representatives and the Penguin website.

There is never a guarantee that you will keep 100% of your hair, but only your very closest friends will even notice the shedding. I personally know several women who have used the caps correctly and are extremely happy with the results. Many oncologists in my part of America now routinely recommend them for their patients.  

It's very obvious your employee and staff are rebutting to make sure they can continue selling and claiming there is a high success rate, ripping off people!! They have the nerve to offer some amount of money back so i clean off this report so they can continue to sell!! How pathetic! Shame on you! Instead of fixing the situation and apologizing and reimbursing me for my money and pain, you attack more. I lost my hair, I was not planing to go through chemo because of my hair, your rep told me I won't lose my hair, that's why i went through chemo, it will take me years to get my hair back, do you understand the pain I have to live with just because you want to make few hundred dollars? Do you understand the amount of pain you are causing me for years? Emotional pain? And you want to give some of my money back and instead ask me to write nice things about you! Nice nerve! Shame on you! And come up with BS for hair loss reasons after the fact? When all is done and over with! Shame on you! If your representation is truthful, why would you even have an attorney for years to defend your company? And making threats to me? Nice nerve!

I'm really sorry for the lady concerned as it seems she was unlucky enough to lose her hair despite using the caps.  However, I don't think this report is really fair to Penguin. My sister used the caps last year, and although she did suffer some thinning, she kept her hair, which is still long and thick.   So our experience, is yes, it does work, and it was worth every cent as her hair was her pride and joy and a huge symbol of her feminity, particularly as she was about to lose a breast, with all of the emotion that goes with that.

She was warned in advance that although the success rate is 90%, she might be one of the ones it doesn't work for, and she had to be so careful to keep the caps on for the correct time afterwards or she would lose the hair.  It certainly wasn't prohitively expensive either, I think she paid about $500 a month, but as it was a UK company, the exact amount did fluctuate a bit depending on the exchange rate was for GBP at the time.

Tricia, who was the rep who looked after her was fantastic and couldn't have been more caring or supportive and my sister has nothing but good things to say about Penguin to anyone who cares to listen!
