Pennzoil 10 Minute (Quick Lube Of San Rafael And Santa Rosa) $11,500 damage because the oil filter cap was not installed properly!!! San Francisco California

I got the oil changed with Pennzoil a few times. After the second oil change, a severe oil leakage was detected. The car was taken to Pennzoil immediately to inspect the leak, find the source and fix the problem. They charged us over $300.00 for that service (for an oil leak which happened most likely because the oil change was done improperly in the first place!!!!).

Since the car was already in the shop, another oil change was requested.
We paid our bill, expected everything to be done right by the "qualified" mechanics that this shithole that "guarantees" its services hires. Didn't have any reasons to suspect that anything was wrong.

A few months later the car just stopped on the freeway and was immediately towed to a mechanic. Pursuant to a vehicle inspection, he concluded that there was a complete engine failure. The cause of that was that the oil filter cap was not tied, so all the oil leaked out into the engine, causing the complete irreparable damage.

The company said that they are not legally liable, because the cause of the problem was OWNERS NEGLIGENCE and while they may have made a mistake, it was up to me to detect it and I have failed to do so. The company refuses any further communication or resolution of this matter.

DO NOT, under any circumstances, even if you have a gun to your head, go to Pennzoil 10 Minute Oil Change (Quick Lube), whether it is the San Francisco one or some other location. Just give the gunman $10,000 and you will be BETTER OFF!!! - CHEAPER AND LESS HASSLE. I have read MULTIPLE complaints of multiple instances of similar nature, because they try and do the service so quickly!!!
