Several years ago I use to use the Pennzoil Quick Lube located on East Sandusky Street in Findlay, Ohio.

Never had any problem with them till later on.
I always just got the oil and filter changed and often took my own oil and I preferred synthetic and did not want to pay their high price for it.

The last 2 times I was there the man doing the service dropped by oil filler cap into my engine area of my van and took forever to get it located and pulled out to put the cap back on so I could leave.

I was about to tell him to just leave it there and I would find it myself or buy a new one as I was afraid he would do some damage to my engine compartment trying to find the cap.


The last time I was there I went ahead and had them install a new air filter on my van.

After he put the new air filter in the compartment on my engine and was attempting to close up the air filter compartment he was having problems closing it and became rather rough in trying to get the air filter compartment closed.

He finally got it closed and that was the last time I went there.
About a year later I had some engine problems and it turned out to be because when the man at the Pennzoil Quick Lube on East Sandusky Street in Findlay, Ohio put the air filter compartment back together in a rough manner he pull the intake duct off the top of the engine, which caused me to pull in non filtered air into my engine for a year causing about $700 in engine damage.

I feel the Pennzoil Quick Lube should reimburse me for the $700 engine repairs I had done because of the rough handling of my engine compartment.

I will never go to another Pennzoil Quick Lube anywhere based on this experience.

And I do not recommend anyone else go there either due to their poor service and rough handling of a persons vehicle engine compartment

And if you do go there DO NOT BUY ANY OTHER SERVICES OTHER THAN JUST A OIL AND FILTER CHANGE

They will gouge you on other services that you have no idea at all if you really need.

The last time I was there some kid in a red honda was there just for a oil change and they kept asking him if he wanted this and that extra and he went ahead and got those extra services and his bill was over $90 when he only had intentions of just getting a oil change.

Those Quick Lube places train their employees to push the extra services as that is where there huge profits are. Especially older people should not take their cars to quick lube places as they are more likely to have other services done, and they have no idea if their car really needs them or not.

Summed up,

Do not go to those Pennzoil Quick Lube places, go to your favorite mechanic or auto dealer garage that you can trust and tell them what you want and no extras.
And even be careful there as they all try to sell extra services that most cars don't even need.

Do not use their service

Do not use their service at any of the Penzoil Quick Lube places. I feel they rip off people by trying to sell them services they do not need and also they do not have people that are trained in proper care of a car or truck, etc.

Summed up, go to your favorite garage where you know the people that work there and can depend on quality service.
