SEO Reputation Management at its best!

A customer of ours filed a "claim" on peopleclaim.com.  Unfortunately, this was a difficult, disgruntled customer who lost in small claims court when we were forced to file a suit when he did not pay his bill.  Bottom line, our company won the case, and he explained to the judge that he suffered from depression.  While our customer was wrong for not paying his bill, we feel sorry for him due to having a mental illness.  Peopleclaim.com basically takes money from people just looking to complain - which people can do for free on Craigslist.  Peopleclaim.com is stealing money from the elderly and anyone that is mentally disable.  They have no recognition as being a legitimate avenue for resolving disputes, such as the BBB.  Moreover, Peopleclaim.com claims to have high visibility - when you google them - nothing comes up.  BUYER BEWARE of giving money to any website that does not have a customer service number - thus, you cannot speak with anyone at peopleclaim.com.  Finally, if you happen to stumble upon a business that has been complained against via peopleclaim.com, please make sure you get all the facts (ie: if the complainer already lost in court, they are just looking to complain.  period.)

Every business gets complaints; how it responds is what makes the difference.

AUTHOR: PeopleClaim Support - (United States of America)

Dear Mr Furfaro,

We do show that you received email notification of the claim, opened that email, and, as invited, responded to the claim. You rejected the claim and added your side of the story. People viewing the posted claim can read both accounts at http://www.peopleclaim.com/Claim-Details/5873142 and make their own decision.

I am glad to see that you agree that our fees are nominal. No review / rating / complaint site is freeevery one of them is paid for by the very business members youre complaining about, or ads, or reputation repair options. We choose to be transparent about the costs for a constructive negotiation system. And $7.95 can be a very nominal sum indeed when you consider the cost of going to court or writing off faulty goods or services.

One of our claimants settled a $40,000 independent contractor case for $7.95 after his attorney had made no headway at all. Unlike the free sites, we protect business owners by ensuring that claimants agree to our terms and conditions and are therefore accountable for what they say.

We make every effort to ensure that the business is notified of the complaint and has a chance to make things right, or explain why they dont feel that would be justified. Every business gets complaints; how it responds is what makes the difference.

People Claim taking people's money to complain - use Facebook, Twitter for free instead!

AUTHOR: Marie in st. louis - (U.S.A.)

Fascinating.

PeopleClaim should spend less time responding to the complaint we made about them, and spend more time ACTUALLY responding to the email we DID send their customer service.  They never responded as listed above.    PeopleClaim likes to call the complaints that people make on their site as unresolved - what do you call a case that has gone to court and the complainer lost?

DO NOT BE FOOLED by the word claim in the name of their site!  No one can prove that these are nothing more than complaints.  Peopleclaim tries to make people think that high-paid lawyers, or legitimate agencies are going to waste their time by coming to their site to read through the few complaints that people are making.  Try searching for claims for your city on PeopleClaim you will see that no one posts out there. PeopleClaim states their nominal fee provides legitimacy how?  Paying  $25 is a small price to pay to try and get even with a business.

Moreover, how can anyone, even if, miraculously, an attorney, voice their opinion about what 2 sides are saying when the viewer was not there.  There is no Bible to swear on and even if there was, we all know people lie.  Its just a matter of who can lie best.  Is our economy not suffering enough that (consumers who cant admit they are wrong) continue to waste their money on a site like  PeopleClaim.

Please, do not waste your money paying for a non-legitimate complaint forum like PeopleClaim when you can complain on social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Craigslist for free, and probably have better success.  Better yet, if you are confident you are right take it to a legitimate watchdog agency or site like the BBB.

I get that people are entitled to free speech, but if PeopleClaim does not add to their claims space for where the complainer is required to disclose if the matter was already tried in a court of law, court case numbers, and outcome, I see libel and defamation suits in their future.  Ill gladly sign up for that class action suit.

Furfaro Design complaint.

AUTHOR: PeopleClaim Support - (United States of America)

We understand that this business is unhappy because a claim was filed against them through PeopleClaim.

The claim in question appears to be against Furfaro Design/Build Landscapes and can be viewed here:

http://www.peopleclaim.com/Claim-Details/5873142

Furfaro was invited to respond to this claim and has the option to negotiate a mutually agreeable entailment with the claiming party, or to reject the claim and add their side of the story including any supporting information or exhibits.

PeopleClaim offers both free and paid claim filing options.  We require a small fee to publicly post unresolved claims in order to protect recipients  from bogus, anonymous or "gamed" content, and to add further strength and legitimacy to posted claims.   Claimant's can also receive a full refund of their posting fees if their claims are unresolved after 90 days of posting.

Our customer support team can be contacted through live chat or via email from www.peopleclaim.com
