The People's Baptist Church and the Roloff Homes was founded by Lester Roloff over 50 years ago. The man had godly convictions and would never compromise. Today the ministry is being Pastored by Ed Cowger. The Church recently had a split because the Pastor's family, son Rick, daughter Rachel, her husband Tim, daughter Rebekah, and the Pastor's wife Mary Ann have runned the place into ground. The Pastor's family runs on the property unchecked and are sinful. The Pastor's wife is the biggest gossiper on the farm and has no respect from anyone in the Church. She was accused of sexual advacement toward a former employee 3-4 years ago.
The son and daughters are the most sinful worldly people you can meet and the Church itself is so carnal. The Pastor has two sets of standards, one for his family and the other for members, and the homes. There suppose to help people come off addictions, yet feed their addictions. The ladies (if you want to call them at) in the Jubilee are allowed to take pills everyday from the pharmacy. Yet they tell Churches whom they ask for money that their program is not rehabs or pills.
Men in the Lighthouse Homes huff brake fluid, chew snuff. Men or woman who "graduate" the homes are allowed to stay if they want, and end up smoking, watch porn, drink, all under the Churche's nose. The Pastor's daughter Rachel who was overseeing the woman's home was allowing the woman internet access, caffene (forbidding according to the rules since it feeds addiction)posting inappropiate pictures on Facebook, and watching R-rated movies in the dorm. Pastor was made aware of all this and refused to do anything. Many have complained about his family and wife and he still refused to do anything.
They tried to vote him out and he rigged the voting system to stay, allowing non-members to vote, under age teens to vote, and he and his wife voted, all which goes against the Church constitution. The Pastor falsey accused Church members of "secret meetings" which later turned out to be false. The Pastor's family retaliated against the Associate Pastor for removing the Pastor's daughter because of derilect of duty. They used Facebook to say nasty things and lies and the Pastor refused to say anything about or do anything. The Pastor is the only one that has access to a $2 million dollar trust without any accountablity. The Pastor asked a staff member to forge signatures on State documants in which the wife of the person complained, the Pastor recinded.
I can go on and on, I call on Churches not to send support to the People's Baptist Church and the Roloff Homes. I hope all who read this would send this to other Indpendent Fundamental Baptist Churches, whom they draw support. Hold them accountable. The ones who tried to hold them accountable, the Pastor and his wicked family, were all kicked off the property, when the "vote" went the Pastor's way. The Pastor's family are all liars, and the Pastor is full of double standards. I challenge all to call them out on this and don't send any support until the Pastor and his lying family are removed.

First of all whoever you are, you were not there to see what happened. I do agree with you that Cowger is a gogly man, however, the man had too many double standards when it came to his family. You were not there to see his family running sinful and rampart on the property, you were not there when the Jubilee ladies tesitified that Cowger's daughter Rachel was giving the ladies R-rated movies to watch on Christian movie night, you were not there when Mary Ann Cowger eased droped on personal meetings between Cowger and the men on staff, and than told it to others on the farm. She was exposed by the Associate Pastor and his wife, and Cowger rebuked his wife for doing so openly. You were not there when Rachel Cowger had the Jubilee ladies call their parents asking for money and than call the Pastors to say chapel was cancelled so they could stay out till 9-10 PM at night. You were not there when the men of the Church called out Cowger on mis-managment of Church finances and where money dissappeared. You were not there when other Pastors in the area asked Cowger to resign due to the reputation of his family and squandering of Church money. I sat in at all these meetings. Sir, you need to get your facts straight, you were not there for any of this. I can go on and on, but you were not there. His son Rick was aked to leave the property due to immorailty, screeching his tires in the Church parking lot, parking in front of the ramp for handicapped. Cowger was told numerous times to restrain his boy and never did, Rachel's husband left her because of the family problems. YOU WERE NOT THERE. So don't tell me none of this true buddy. If what I am saying is not true, why isn't Cowger there anymore as the Pastor? YOU GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE POSTING

A Time of Reckoning for Ed Cowger

To all you folks supporting Ed Cowger, where is your evidence that the report filed in August 2012 isn't true? It certainly is, and I challenge anyone to come forward with information otherwise. I speak from first-hand witnessing the destruction that the Cowgers caused. It is an abomination to mention the name of Ed Cowger and Lester Roloff in the same sentence. Lester Roloff was a man of God and Ed Cowger is evil, deceitful and a disgusting thief, along with his helmet-head wife. Ed Cowger should have never been allowed on the campus of Roloff Homes, other than to visit his daughter in the Jubilee Home. Those who initially gave Ed Cowger his power in the beginning should be "shot at daybreak." He had no qualifications whatsoever for the job. The Bible warns us against the wolf in sheep's clothing and anyone that knows Ed Cowger knows he's not only the wolf, he's the devil. My hope is that he and his thieving family enjoy the money they stole from the Roloff Homes and the lives they ruined because their day will come when they must account for what they have done and God have mercy on them!

What I think is funny about this report is that the person who wrote it was fired for doing some of the things he is accusing the pastor of.
There is no one who cares more about the ministry and the men and women in it than he and his wife.
I wish I could sign my name because I am not afraid to stand up and face these lies. I challenge anyone to show any evidence to these blatent lies if you can I will apologize and help in taking down the corruption that you claim.

This report is utter nonsence. I challenge anyone to show me real evidence of any of it. I have been there, I have lived and worked on the farm and I know Pastor Cowger personally and his children and I know that there is no more a Godly man as Pastor Ed Cowger.
The accusations that I have read in this article are twisted and made to fit in order to make Pastor Cowger and this wonderfull ministry look bad.
It would be my guess that it was written by someone who was dismissed from the program or simply has a personal issue that they want to make someone pay for.
So again I say prove it don't just put this garbage out there and if you are reading it please I ask you ask questions seek proof don't just take this at face value, because it has no value.
If this site would allow me I would be more than happy to post my name and personal phone but of coourse they don't want that because then some of this garbage would be able to be dispelled.
