On New Years Day my son and I drove out to Peoria Ford to check on a vehicle that was listed on Craigs List that morning. Of course that is not the one they attempted to sell me, it had been sold 3 days earlier - so Strike 1 on their part - false advertising. We did look at an alternate vehicle but I knew the price was out of my budget but of course they might be able to "work the numbers" They were still way out of my budget, when I was asked again what my max budget and max commitment time was - Strike 2 - didn't I see you write down what I told you? So their finance guy Mark, comes over - we can get you into a Fusion - no I want a truck - we can do a lease then - no I don't want a lease - so if you go up another $50 a month and go for 48 months we can sell you a truck today - so what part of this is my top budget do you not understand - Mark then had the nerve to ask me why I was getting mad - Strike 3, I am out of there. While my son was sitting with me, the conversation was very cordial - the minute he excused himself to use the restroom, Mark started the intimidation. I know what I want, I know my exact budget - if you cannot help me that is fine, but don't ever try to intimidate me. I would never ever recommend this dealership to amyone. I know that all dealerships do not work like this - later that day we went to Chapman out in Scottsdale - I gave them the same information I had given Peoria - they did not have anything that currently fit in my budget, but would contact me if something came in.
