PEST OFFENSE of Dallas Texas - seems to be false advertising & a ripoff *REBUTTAL Owner of company ..Action taken on behalf of Pest OFFense: abused customers, I would like to first appologize, all parties were fired due to these unethical acts

In response to some of the Rip-off customers and unhappy folks; I would like to first appologize for the totally rude and uncalled behavior of Reliant, Thane International and anyone else in these matters. As of last Feb. 2003 all parties were fired due to these unethical acts of business. Reliant was fired back in 2002, Thane never had any rights from my company and ALL have been reported by myself on behalf of my Company and abused customers.



I can assure you that I do not allow any sale of any product, subject matter, packages, etc, except for a unit of Pest OFFense(R) or more. My infomercial call centers are forbidden to sell any thing except Pest OFFense(R).



I am back as captain of the ship and will be more than happy to chat with those customers, who in the past, felt they got a bad deal.



All other associates of this great product have been released of duty.



Pest OFFense(R) stands by its name and we will rectify any problems you may have had with the previous and totally unprofessional people.

At the end of February I contacted St. Rep Fred Perry of Tulsa. I saw an article in the newspaper. He was working with others on telemarketing legislation (no call list, dead calling, etc).



After explaining my problem with CREDIT CARD FRAUD that occured after dealing with PEST OFFENSE and RELIANT INTERACTIVE MEDIA SERVICES (rimc.com) AS SEEN ON TV, he asked me to send all the info I had collected.



The possible purpose - the working legislation is still amendable. I'm encouraged!

As of 2-28-02, I have filed a complaint with the FTC in Washington, DC.



In that complaint I list RELIANT INTERACTIVE MEDIA CORP. (rimc.com) of Tampa, FL; THANE INTERNATIONAL (recently merged w/rimc.com); PEST OFFENSE - ELECTRONIC PEST REPELLER of Dallas, TX; WEST DIRECT MARKETING of Omaha, NE; ABI MARKETING GROUP, INC. of St Petersburg, FL; WELLNET AMERICA of Las Vegas, NV; AMERICAN VALUES of Las Vegas, NV; CONTINUITY PARTNERS of Las Vegas, NV; ALL MEDIA SALES of Las Vegas, NV; and, WESTMINSTER BANK of Leeds, UK (merchant bank for credit card transaction).



THAT'S 10 COMPANIES THAT GOT MY CREDIT CARD FRAUDULENTLY OR ENABLED THE DESEMINATION OF MY ENTIRE CREDIT CARD NUMBER. And I only purchased 2 PEST OFFENSE'S from television.



It will be interesting to see what and when the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISION can do. I will add, the State of Oklahoma has no law governing this type of CREDIT CARD FRAUD but I may still have a case in Texas. This will be my last up-date until and unless I receive word from legal counsel in Texas or word from the FTC.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION for television purchases of PEST OFFENSE and other products offered on television infomercials.



RELIANT INTERACTIVE MEDIA CORPORATION / THANE INTERNATIONAL (rimc.com). This is the company that operates the television infomercial for PEST OFFENSE. They also sell you the AB-DOer, THUNDERSTICK PRO, AS SEEN ON TV PC, VIDEO PROFESSOR, FLAVOR WAVE OVEN and other products.



After purchasing the PEST OFFENSE in April 2001, I received a phone call in August 2001 from a telemarketer late one evening. She caught my attention when she said she was "CALLING ABOUT YOUR CREDIT CARD, SIR". She told me that since I was a valued customer of RELIANT INTERACTIVE MEDIA CORPORATION / THANE INTERNATIONAL (rimc.com), that they were sending $100 worth of "guest vouchers" for discounts on furniture, appliances and just about anything I could think of.



All I had to do was look at some information for two companies out of Las Vegas - AMERICAN VALUES and WELLNET AMERICA. These companies would provide discounts on health care products, etc. The telemarketer told me "NO OBLIGATION" and "IF YOU WANT TO JOIN, THERE'S A TOLL FREE NUMBER IN THERE, JUST CALL AND LET THEM KNOW." She also said "IF YOU DECIDE NOT TO JOIN, KEEP THE VOUCHERS AS A GIFT FROM RELIANT INTERACTIVE MEDIA SERVICES / THANE INTERNATIONAL (rimc.com) JUST FOR HELPING THEM WITH THIS."



I never responded with more than a few words "yeah" "uh-huh" "alright" "thanks". What I didn't do was BUY ANYTHING. I was NOT SOLD ANYTHING. I didn't give out my CREDIT CARD NUMBER.



On my next credit card bill I had 4 UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES (FRAUDULENT CHARGES) from AMERICAN VALUES and WELLNET AMERICA in Las Vegas, NV. This is the best definition of CREDIT CARD FRAUD.



RELIANT INTERACTIVE MEDIA SERVICES / THANE INTERNATIONAL (rimc.com) certainly goes above and beyond providing products on TV.



When you see those TV infomercials and notice (rimc.com) at the bottom of the screen, beware!



In my own small world of fairness I will add that THANE INTERNATIONAL, I believe, merged with RELIANT INTERACTIVE MEDIA CORPORATION (rimc.com) in February 2002 after the facts listed above. Not the smartest move!
