In October 2012 I received a large bag of Nutro dog food that was grossly torn and soaked in what appeared to be blood. The box was undamaged, suggesting that the bag was put in the box for shipment despite such an obvious health hazard. I called the company and they apologized stating they would discuss the matter with their warehouse personnel. They sent a new bag of food to replace the contaminated one.
