Purchased a Petco dog harness. The dog harness packaging provides only instructions on how to fit the dog harness on a pet. The dog harness I purchased was defective and I attempted to return the product. The customer service representative stated that the product could not be returned because he stated the harness should only be used when walking the dog and not to be used if using a tether to a dog stake in the ground. This is product deception because the packaging on the product did not provide instructions or parameters regarding dog training, or tethering. there were no instructions on how to use the product other then to fit it physically on the dog. Therefore, how can they justify the dog harness was not defective?

The dog collar is defective to one who can convince a person who believes a dog collar is not defective that it is defective using the fact that there is no standard on a label to indicate what is defective or not.

Bravo! So funny. So true.
That's a conundrum of statements, especially if you do not understand epistemology. That's actually what makes a person too stupid to own an animal, but what is worse is not to understand that a mammal is an animal. Unless you believe that you are a God which is not human which is a mammal which is an animal. So are all animals stupid. I suspect not but some mammals that are human who bark one or two word statements like an animal such as a dog might be.

The point is the customer service representative attempted to tell me a way in which the harness can be used and justified not to provide a reimburse. If Petco, Home Depot etc., are selling dog stakes to be inserted into the ground to tether your pet as a product then according to you they are just breaking the law. The harness in my opinion prevents the dog from choking around the neck. Either way it goes the entire purpose of the post is to argue the negligence of the packaging for the dog insert. Since you believe pets are like humans, i'm sure you like to read about warnings or instructions for children's toys. I bet you even wrap your pets up in baby clothes just like parents put harnesses on their children. Is that illegal?

Just because an item can't be used as you want it does not mean it is defective.

- In several jurisdictions it is actually ILLEGAL to tether a dog to a stationary object(which could include a post in the ground). You think that is perhaps why they don't mention it?
