I went into Petland on Windward intending to purchase some tropical fish. I counted 6 tanks that quite obviously had the "ick". I asked the clerk why all the tanks had it and she stated not all the tanks had it but that they must have gotten a "bad batch of fish" in. As I was pointing out the tanks to her, she literally walked away. None of the tanks were labeled sick. Don't buy fish from these folks unless you want a sick tank of your own!

Constructive suggestion for employee rebuttal

AUTHOR: Bonnie - (U.S.A.)

As a consumer, it would very helpful for Petco to label those so obviously sick tanks as such so that the customers that do know ick won't waste their time looking. The story regarding "half-truth" does not hold water (no pun intended). Your employees need lessons in manners and customer service as well.

#3 UPDATE Employee

Incomplete Truth

AUTHOR: Aka - (U.S.A.)

As a member of the Petland Alpharetta fishroom, we all take great pride in our fishroom, which is evident by the great repoire we have on atlantareefclub.com. The day in question had more background to it then you mention.

A gentleman had previously brought in catfish that to our knowledge were not sick, unfortunately they were. Being that all the tanks on a wall are connected, it spread. The tanks were being treated at the time and no fish were being sold from those tanks.

Although the tanks were not marked, all fish employees told customers the tanks were being treated and did not sell any of those fish. We are sorry you had a bad experience but we also appreciate a full story, not just half.
