Beware of using Petsmart Grooming Services! My dog bit another dog because they were allowing her to run around freely in the grooming salon. I told them everytime I dropped her off, she is not dog friendly, do not let her near other animals, crate her or put her on a lead. One day while I was paying I could see her jumping up in the salon to take cookies out of the bowl next to the register. When another customer came in he put his little dog on the counter next to the bowl. Neither of the groomer put my dog on a lead or crated her and let her continue this behavior. I am thankful that she did not kill this other dog the way she grabbed her, but this was far from the end. almost a year later, the other customer sued me personally! Never a call, other than me checking up on him the following week to make sure they were ok, as it was traumatic for both of us. He and the store had my cell number, could have called any time to discuss anything - I was out on medical leave right after this for endometrial carcinoma, I was very reachable. Well, when all was said and done, I sent everything to Petsmart to reimburse me for the settlement. I settled for less than the demand, no attorney fees, etc. Mind u, I have still been bringing my dog to the Petsmart Groomers, different location, only 1 person allowed to handle her, etc. - I also have several other animals, so I spend a small fortune every year in their store.
I was basically told "we value you as a customer, and hope you will continue to spend your money here, but FU!" Basically, your dog, your problem - nothing of the fact that she was in their store, in their grooming facility, and they did not follow the rules! I love the girl that grooms my dog for the past year, but unfortunate for her I will NEVER step foot in or spend one red cent at Petsmart. It wasn't enough money to get an attorney, $1300, which I spend just on grooming there in a year! Trying to get on my feet again physically and financially, this was the last thing I needed, They should be ashamed of the way they treat their customers. You dont have to pay me back what it cost me for your negligence - I work with many that foster, run no kill rescues, etc - you will lose alot more than you can imagine for kicking me while I was down!
