Phil and Lee's Homes Horrible Business, Dishonest, Wells/Escanaba, Michigan

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible!  Very dishonest.  I am writing this to save others from going through this horrible experience.  Do yourself a favor, go outside the UP if you have to.  They manufacture them in other states anyway.  The quality is not very good. 

They lie about what you are getting and how and when it will be done.  Their contractors work on several houses at a time so it can take months from the time you order.  So you might as well plan on renting a place if you sell your current home.  If you are renting, don't end your lease you won't have a new house to move into for way longer than they tell you.  

They don't communicate with subcontractors in a timely manner and they get booked and you have to wait for them to become available because they don't get anyone else.  The house will come with damaged walls and probably other issues too.  And whatever you do, get a contract from a lawyer.  Don't sign their contract.  It completely protects them.  You basically sign away your rights.  I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy.  Would never do business with them again.  I wish someone had told me about how bad they were before we purchased.  Don't expect any customer service after you sign.
