When they informed me of the one time start up fee, and that they needed my account information (since it was their only source of reference) I told them I would love to have their card and they could just bill their fee right into it.
Since I am already by their standards a credit risk, why do they need references. They became hostile with me and eventually hung up on me. This I find is the best way to deal with these types of people.
But HEY, I too am sick and tired of these people, you give me a heads up on what to do, I have both the time, resources and drive to make these people accountable. And beleive me when I say, I will not quit until they are out of business.
