Phoenix Executive Group Ripoff Scam Lie Deceptive Practices Unprofessional Nonresponsive Islelin New Jersey

I am a victim of The Phoenix Executive Group. My nightmare began in September 2004. I read the ad in the New York Times, faxed my resume and of course was contacted because I qualified to become a client. My first encounter was with Jm McMullen who insulted me a couple of times by telling me, I was not interviewing well, and my resume was inadequate. I couldn't understand why he said the interviewing thing, because he wasn't making eye contact and spent a great deal of time touting the Phoenix Exceutive Group. Mind you I'm a Director of a Clinic, I routinely interview and hire staff. He told me the reason I couldn't change careers is of course because I lacked the "contacts" that they have. He began naming Pharmaceutical companies, and also how my skills could transfer to the private sector ( I have a BS in Biology and an MPA)This sounded appealing.

The next encounter was with Joe Kran and again I was spun a web of the same "You can't make the career change at the level you seek because you lack the "contacts and once again Phoenix Executive Group has those contacts and how their staff prepares extensive research on any company that I interview with, that "you will know more about the company that the interviewer). (At this point I'd like to just have an interview as a result of any Phoenix group effort. On the second visit with Mr. Kran I signed up..greatest mistake of my life..I post dated a check at his request for $4400 and of course the balance of $2,200 will be due 6 weeks after accept an offer of my choosing with a sign up bonus of at minimum $7000. (yes another lie) On the day that the check was dated I realized I would not have the funds available I contacte Mr. Kran who informed me that he had already deposited the check. I was concerned that my check would bounce, Mr. Kran was so unconcerned.

If I knew what I do now I would have left it and let them sue me for a returned check. I borrowed against my annuity but only $3500. I met with my advisor Tony Lomardi, I informed him of that I only had $3500, he said "they said they will take whatever you had" This was in October 2004. I met a few times with Tony, who at every meeting asked me the same questions. After Thanksgiving, there was no progress and I inquired why I requested a refund was initially ignored (what else is new and then told that there was a slight mis understanding. I was told that my account was on hold" and until I paid the balance things could not proceed. Realizing large corporations do not generally hire during the Christmas season I said I would wait until the after the holidays. I paid the remaining $910 ($10) for the return check fee the second week in January. At this point I have no resume and continue to ask...how am I to conduct a job search with no resume. Well one was prepared I will gladly share the resume prior to the Phoenix Group intervention and the one prepared by them. The resume contained grammatical errors after much back and forth (all initiated by me they finished my resume. To date March 5, I do not have a coverletter. I telephone my advisor I don't receive return phone calls, I emailed him and Larry Maglin I receive a delayed response..my question on February 28 was where are my mailings (keep in mind I have no cover letter)..I received a response on March 2 @ 4:30 PM with a list of recruiters that my resume has been sent to...still no cover letter or mailings and basically after all this time nothing.

I did a google search on Phoenix Executive Group prior to joining them and found nothing and nothing also with the Better Business Bureau. I thought they were professional and on the up and up...I almost want to camp outside their doors to warn potential clients not to contract with them.

At this point I do not have other meetings with my advisor scheduled because I left him a message telling him that I'm just wasting my time by coming in to meet with him and getting nothing accomplished, so I imagine he will contact me when there will be something for me to meet with him about. What a $4400 mistake...I will gladly participate in any letigation against The Phoenix Executive Group just leave a message.. I'm already interested in the case on March 18 & will be present I will continue to work with them because I'm almost a hostage...my money is tied up with them and the lies
