This place is a rip off! I was doing very well. I had maintaied a 3.0 average for the first year of attending. Then, out of nowhere, Phoenix deposited almost 3,000 of my student loan money into my account. I went to the website to check my Pheonix Account. There was a reciept fo the deposit which said "Refund". I printed it and had it sent to my e-mail. This was a blessing because I am a single mother and my son and I had been going through hard times. Two weeks later I get a call saying it was a mistake, that it wasn't a refund, it was my tuition for my upcoming classes. The money was nearly gone by then. I explained the situation and sent them a copy of the reciept they had given me. The say "so what" " You should have known." I pointed out that they had never deposited money into my account with a reciept for "refund" in the past, and "how would I know". I asked if there was something that could be done. They said "Pay out of pocket." Like I said, I'm a single mother and can't do that. I had to quit school and now face paying back $18000 for the year I attended. I feel sick to my stomach. These people are very unethical. If an attorney is reading this: They changed the information on my account after I complained, (because they know they made a mistake) but I sitll have the reciept they sent me and it is an Abdobe "unchangeable" file. I would love to sue them!
