Physicians and Midwives Collaborative Practice Bad Customer Service and Rude Staff Alexandria, Virginia

This facility is awful.  I've had my share of harsh treatments from the nurses on duty when I made calls for medical questions or making an appointment.  I want to really mention their nurse Jennifer who treated me so bad when I asked her about something pertaining to my pregnancy that I am not aware of.  Instead of explaining things to me, she ridiculed me by asking back with a mocking tone 'why are you bothered? I don't understand why you're even bothered!  Whatever you feel is normal in every pregnancy.'  Granting that what I asked was a no-brainer question for medical people,  as a client, I should be free to express my concerns especially when it is my first pregnancy, and I should not be treated as if I'm stupid just because I feel anxious or threatened by something that happened to me which I could not understand . 

One time, their midwife asked me to come back for an ultrasound at a certain time, and when I called back to be rescheduled, I was transferred to a nurse and she was the rudest, worst health advisor anyone could ever have!  She started lecturing me as to why I didn't have my ultrasound earlier and why I am only doing it now.  I explained to her that I visited their facility a month ago and they told me to come back for an ultrasound a month later, but since my schedule was hectic, I wanted to move my appointment a week later.  She told me she doesn't see a point why I should even have an ultrasound because she thinks that there's no need for it.  We went back and forth about the whole ultrasound thing but I felt so aggravated because that person wasn't really helping me, she was making things difficult and it was adding more stress to my already stressed mind!

I think that there are only 2 midwives and one doctor in that facility that cares about what they do and their patient, but so far, my experience with them has been horrible.  At 32 weeks, I am looking for another facility...I don't care if it is too late,.. I don't want to entrust myself to people I do not trust anymore.  If you are looking for a health care that really cares, PHYSICIAN and MIDWIVES collaborative practice is not the place to go.
