This person inspected a duplex prior to our purchase. The duplex had tenants. As a result of his inspection we purchased the property. Within a month our tenants reported problems with a leaking roof. Roofers inspected and found the roof completely worn and needed replacement immediately. I went up on the roof with the roofers to confirm. During the inspection of the roof it was discovered the attic area was filled with mold. "The worst case of mold we've ever seen" said the roofers.

The mold abatement service also stated it was a very bad case, as well. Mold was also present in cabinets and closets and walls - the result of poor practices on the part of one tenant.

Since this mold had to have been present when Pillar to Post performed the inspection it's obvious the inspection was VERY sloppily done! I doubt he could have been on the roof or up in the attic areas. Though his report states he was... and things were in good repair.

For months this inspector - Todd Bowers - stalled responding to my contacts and those of my realtor. He'd ask for reports, etc. but all it was a stall. I gave up trying to get satisfaction.

Be Warned! This person will NOT do good work and will NOT take responsibility for what he does...

Your knowledge is in question, isn't it. My Realtor sent you emails - which you responded to for a time. My Realtor spoke with you on the phone - but you have no memory. He does. You agreed to look into it and a month later you still had not responded. This obfuscation continued for months.

I did this as well, but you never would respond to me.

What's your point? I had another representative of your company inspect a property in Springfield, Oregon. He was, as far as I'm concerned, very through and spot-on in his evaluation. The reason I called your company a second time. I did notice however that a year later your Eugene area office was no longer listed on the state's contractor information website. What was that about?

"If we feel we have missed something on an inspection we will most definitely take care of it.  If we are not qualified to take care of it we will have someone take care of the issue at hand."

What's your point, again? How can you say this when you never came to inspect? You also chose to ignore the report of the mold remediation company.

Well, DUH! Why would a happy customer file a complaint?

While we can appreciate an issue coming up on inspections, they are not always as black and white as they seem.  The complaintant definitely took the time to file a complaint online yet we have never received complaint in our office to my knowledge.

We have an outstanding reputation in the Tri-County Area and have been in business for 15 years now. If we feel we have missed something on an inspection we will most definitely take care of it.  If we are not qualified to take care of it we will have someone take care of the issue at hand.
