Pimsleur Approach Stroll, Internet Order Old fashioned method, nothing revolutionary - giving hard time to cancel Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Pimsleur  claims  that  they  use  a  revolutionary  method  for  teaching  a  foreign  language.  I  was  curious  and  ordered  the  $ 10,-  "Quick and Simple"  CDs.   I  hold  a  M.A.  in  languages  and  was  disappointed:  even  30  years  ago  there  were  better  methods  on the market.  "Pimsleur Approach"  means:   "Say  good  morning  in  japanese..."   ----  "Sayonara...."   how  do you  say  good  morning  in  japanese....???     and  so  on.   They  should  feel  embarassed  to  present  this  as  a  linguistic  masterpiece,  this  kind  of  language  instruction  has  been  around  for  hundreds  of  years  and  has  even  been  criticized  as  ineffective.  

I  send  them  my  cancellation  letter  the  same  day  I  received  their  CDs  and  it  appears  like  the  physical  business  address they  provide  is  just  a  mailbox:   the  mailman  tried  to  deliver  my  certified  letter  at  11 am  at  their  Southhampton Rd.  address  and  obviously  there  wasn't  anybody  to  sign.  

When  I  sent  them  an  email,  the  answer  was  "we  cannot  process  your  cancellation via  email."   Looks  like  they are  crooks.
