Having recently expanded an online business we were in need of electronic postage so we responded to one of the pitney bowes adds that were sent to us every couple of weeks. Pitney bowes deceptively sends a machine that does not have the capacity to weigh anything more than letters which are generally sent with a first class stamp anyway. We requested a larger machine at first which they never sent, so we then we got another machine and went with another company and called them to return the machine. They said twice that they would send a return box out and did not. Our business got very busy and it was ignored until we were again billed for the machine we were not using and they said we were now locked into a 1 year contract for a machine that we had never used and had no use for and that they had failed to deliver a return box for. After the year contract they were contacted again and again failed to deliver the box after a month, I called them and was irate. They said there must have been a computer glitch. I demanded that they overnight the box and they said they could fax a return tag which they did. However they would not refund the charges for over one year that had accumulated on my credit card because they never sent the return tags or boxes they promised. Their advertising is one of the biggest scams out there. If you are in the same situation demand they fax you a return tag that day on the first call, or better yet do not deal with these unethical scammers, whose only concern for customers is how much profit they can get from them.
