Gloves

POSTED: Thursday, November 20, 2008About the gloves. Your not required to wear them anymore. As long as you keep your hands clean, you don't have to wear them. But, if a customer has a problem, and requests that you wear them, you have to put some on. If this really did happen, I would call not only their customer service line, but the police. What this person did was wrong, and shouldn't even be working there.

Health Code anyone?

POSTED: Wednesday, November 12, 2008You're trying to say that employees are NOT required to wear gloves? Even when they are handling ready-to-eat food? That sounds like a major health code violation to me. Any place I've ever worked at and any health codes I've ever seen, for multiple states in the U.S.A. requires that employees working in the food industry must wear gloves when handling food that will go from that person's hands to someone else's mouth. For example, someone who is putting a pizza into a delivery box should wear gloves since that food will immediately be consumed by someone.
Think about this... would YOU want someone to touch their hair, wipe their nose or cough in their hand, forget to wash them and then touch the food you are about to eat without gloves on, just because they aren't required to wear gloves? That sounds very unsanitary to me. But having a policy of wearing gloves makes a lot of sense- you put the gloves on, handle the food then remove the gloves. Voila, less chance of contamination!
So, who are you trying to fool in saying that employees aren't required to wear gloves? If that's really true, then I will never order from Pizza Hut again.
