Grifols Plasma Care, the company that does not care. i read a consumer review of this company on Ripoff Report and had to laugh. Every Word was true! Now let me give you yet another spin on this company.. as an employee. I have worked for this company for 2.5 years (and trust me it wont be much longer, i had hopes it would get better) This company has a 60% or more turn over rate, and the corporate offices that direct each center accepts that and embraces it! The employees are subjected to '3rd world like' work conditions and are the least paid in the industry.
We are supposed to be creating medicine for very sick people. However, if you love your family member you will ask what brand is being used and should refuse Grifols product! Because of the abnormal turn over rate no one is properly trained. The people sticking a 16g needle in your arm (the size of a wooden pencil lead) are paid 8.25 an hour! (less than many store clerks make!) ,work 9-12 hour days with a 30 min lunch and no breaks, and are not allowed to sit. Our days off requests are rejected and we are only allowed to miss 3 days every 6 months or face termination. As one of the very very few white workers i face discrimination daily.
Oh, and speaking of unpleasantness, have fun waiting in our front room! We have no security in place and the police barely respond when needed. So far this year at my center 3 people have been stabbed, 2 shot with a gun and several beat up. We have prostitutes, drug dealers, and gang members! All swept under the rug to keep it hush hush. There is so much more i know and would like to share, but it seems that none of the governing and regulating bodies care, trust me i HAVE tried! This place should be shut down! The other plasma donation chains have higher standards and security, and pay the donor a whole lot more!. Go to them and spread the word! No one cares but us the people. Money talks and B/s walks.

I Agree and Grifols rips off donors

The grifols website says "donate to save lives"...interesting...if they paid the donors a respectable amount of what the plasma sells for they would be getting 10 times the amount of donors saving 10 times the amount of lives. My friend is a high up manager in Grifols Biomat company and he told me the donors are basically getting ripped off. I mean the medical patients who need this plasma are paying through the nose for it, but the donors get basically nothing. To give you an idea, my manager friend said in 2010 that for every 2 donations a donor gives Grifols sells it for about $4000 and walks away with a profit of about $1750. So the donor gets $50, the staff is getting paid under $10/hour and Grifols makes an extra $1750 per week per donor. The employees are paid dirt for their hard work, low income donors go there for extra income but they are shafted by the $50/week they get, and the product is less safe because of it. They say "donate to save lives"...interesting...how about treat the employee and donor a little better and then see how many lives we can save huh? Does Grifols care?
