I was looking online for a payday loan. I filled out many request online. You must always give your bank information so that they can deposit the money into your account if they do approve the loan. I did not get approved for any loans and ended up getting one from my mom. I noticed my account balance was really low after my check was directly deposited. I called my bank to see where the 139.95 went. It had a memo saying to call the company. So I called. When I first called someone was talking into the background then they hung up on me. I called back, it sounded very unprofessional like someone answering their house phone and ghetto talking in the background. They said I authorized a Platinum Mastercard with a 139.95 authorization non-refundable fee online. I asked where online and she could not tell me that. I told her I wanted to cancel wich she helped me do and gave me a cancellation number. I told her I wanted my money back. She then told me it was non refundable but they would send me a form to fill out for their credit department and I may be able to get a refund at their descretion. This is crazy. I went to their website and read their membership agreement in full. Nowhere does it mention the amount of the authorization fee or that it is non-refundable. Im going to call my bank in a few minutes. I will update later.

I went to my bank and filled a report. I also filed a police report. Basically now I just wait. I called them and told them what action that I had done and they said that if you go to the top of the page it clearly says 139.95 non-refundable fee. I asked him what the site was and he said platinumbenefitgroupapp.com which is not a site at all. I tried to call back but the phone number no longer works...i get like a beeping sound, but not a busy signal. I spoke to Chris the manager and his number is 156. I am not giving up though. I will get to the bottom of this. I'll keep you posted.
