When I checked my online bank statement, I came across a $49.95 debit that I was unfamiliar with. There was an electronic image of a electronically created check with my name and information to the pay of Platinum Fortress Member, INC. with the note section containing a telephone number (1-888-433-4085) which does not work and a website consumerbill.com. I went to the website and there was a section to log on, but my e-mail was not on file as having an account.
I've disputed the transaction with my bank and they are only accepting handwritten checks with my signature. After doing an online search for the company, apparently people applying for payday loans (which I have done in the past) have had their names given to third parties. I don't understand why you would debit money from an account for a person trying to obtain additional funds.
Consumerbill.com appears to be a third party biller for Platinum Fortress and they are not able to provide any details at this time (at least that is what they are telling me).
