Neither PlyGem Premium Windows nor the local contractor, Conte Remodelers, LLC in Marion, Ohio would honor their warranties. Ply Gem claims a lifetime warranty on their windows, but Conte told me that a lifetime warranty in Ohio means 8-years. REALLY?? Window in question oozed brown substance and condensation between double glass. It got to the point that I could no longer see through the window. I sent Ply Gem Warranty Services photos and copies of both their warranty and Conte's warranty. Apparently they have no intention of honoring warranties. I paid another contractor to replace window. There are companies and contractors that stand behind their products and their work, but Ply Gem and Conte are not among them.

Customer Confusion after 20 years !

The complainer is mistaken as to the correct company that installed his windows 20 years ago . Our company , conte Remodelers LLC of Waldo , Ohio , never did work , since we founded our company in 2004. But we tried to help the customer to pursue parts through a warranty claim at Great Lakes Window company , which is his window product . Great Lakes has been bought & sold many times in last 20 years , including acquisition by Ply Gem . Most 20 year old window products had a 10 year limited warranty. First, we did not install his windows , and secondly, he is not a customer with us. We tried helping him locate parts, and this complaint about us is our reward ? Shame on him ! He is simply misinformed & cannot read his warranty apparently. This is a good example of unfair treatment by ungrateful homeowner. Why not try buying new windows after 20 years , especially with today's Lifetime Window Products ? Jon, ohio
