I purchased my 32 inch flat panel Polaroid TV (FLM-323b) in March of 2007 at Walmart. The price was about $700. We paid cash for this purchase. I was so happy with the purchase at the time as the price was reasonable and it was stylish. It came home from the store and within 3 months, the remote control broke. The customer service was horrible. I never did get a new remote. Flash forward to August 2009 2 years and 5 months after the purchase. One day, the TV went BLACK. No power, nothing. The manufacturer and the 2 year add-on Walmart had expired. So, I started researching online for potential causes. I was horribly shocked to see that so many people had problems with this brand of TV. One suggestion to fix was the capicators inside. Once opened, we were shocked to see that it wasnt the capicators, but instead a ribbon wire had melted, burnt thru the wires and plastic had dripped all over the board. This is not only a shoddy product, but a major fire hazard. I continued my internet research and came across a bunch of reviews on Polaroid and their TV's. The Polaroid website has 227 PRODUCT COMPLAINTS alone, not to mention customer service and warranty issues. Several other websites were (((Redacted))) where consumers there are talking about a class action lawsuit against Polaroid; another is (((Redacted))); still another (((Redacted))); and the list goes on and on and on and on.

Thank you for that comment, but I can post a copy of my receipt that clearly states the Expiration Date of my warranty - which was 2009.

You had a warranty...

No it had not. The 2 year warranty extension would not have expired until the 3 year mark of owning the television. The extended warranty doesn't kick in until 1 year after purchase.
