Rather than resolving the problem Diop Kamau of the Police Complaint center has retaliated against me for posting my complaints to this forum. His response was to discredit me on his website. He has posted lies about me and as a consumer I would not advise using his services.

In fact I am surprised he is not in jail. Make note that I am not his only victim and many people are afraid to file or post a complaint for just these reasons.

The "investigation" and documentation you refer to were all created AFTER I expressed my distrust of the company and asked for a refund from Diop Kamau (the Police Complaint Center's "chief executive officer").

I can't say enough, use caution if you are considering business with this group.

I remember when this idiot was named Don Jackson and was a cop in Hawthorne, CA. He tried to set up some Long Beach cops for NBC television and it backfired. He was a brutal thug as a cop and had been sued many times by victims of his assaults. Screw These Crooks

As General Counsel in the Legal Department for the Police Complaint Center, (PCC), I write in response to the complaint filed by Cheryl Snow. However, it is most important to outline the entire history of this matter to document how PCC fully completed its obligations to investigate Ms. Snow's claims of police misconduct in spite of the unauthorized acts of a former employee.

1- The PCC filed a complaint with the United States Department of Justice on December 18, 2007. The Department of Justice investigated Ms. Snow's complaint of false arrest and determined that Ms. Snow's complaint did not involve a prosecutable violation. The Department of Justice was unable to assist her and she was directed to the nearest legal aid program or local bar association to see if either would be able to assist her.(A copy of this letter was ncluded with the response as Exhibit A.)

2- The PCC filed a complaint with the St. Lucie, Florida police department. (A copy of this complaint is included as Exhibit B.)

3- The PCC filed a letter with the mayor's office.


It is also very important to note that Ms. Snow did not respond to the Police Complaint Center's request for information about the witness Ms. Snow named. Nevertheless, the Police Complaint Center performed its obligation to investigate Ms. Snow's allegations and received responses, as outlined previously. I have also included several documents from the Police Complaint Center's files to demonstrate the intense level of investigation that was involved in this case. Those documents are identified as follows:

Exhibit C Department of Justice Response
Exhibit D E-mail communications from PCC to Ms. Snow
Exhibit E Police report from St. Lucie Police Department

Regarding Ms. Snow's request for a refund, the Police Complaint Center was willing to provide a refund, less expenses for investigative services that were completed for this case.
