He bypassed the trunk system - which took less effort and time had he had to use a Slim Jim. This took about 5 minutes total.
He then charged me $120! No key was made. He wouldn't even allow me to watch.
This guy had the customer service and social skills of a rock.
I called Lori and was told that she would investigate this and call me back that same day. Nothing. No call, nothing.

some cars are easier than others to get into, some technicians have more experience with some cars while other technicians have more exp with other cars. that said, i can get into some cars like its childsplay while my co-workers can get into some of the hardest cars with the greatest of ease that would leave me scratching my head.
as far as ETAs go, bottom line is that the person doing the work needs to contact and keep in touch with the customer until the service has been rendered (upset customers have a higher tendency to pass on bad news than happy customers spreading good news). working for PAL, its the duty of every technician to provide timely professional service (even tho some of us regularly work long days..... when you work commission, your desire to work determines your paycheck).

No Pop-A-Lock Employee is issued one of these in OUR CITY.
Back in 2005 I am unsure of the citys Pricing but that would certainly be High for our city.
Here is an example of how our city (Birmingham Alabama) might have handled that.
Assuming the Customer was needing the service at between 8pm and 12am the price would have been Approx. 51.95-61.95
If the keys were in the trunk (assuming there was a trunk release button) We would simply utilize that button at no extra cost.
We are currently unable to make keys but for this example the customer will need a Jump Start. We would provide the Jumpstart for an Additional 10 Dollars.
Total Cost 61.95-71.95
I am not sure why this customer above had to pay so much, but that is not how things are done down here. Good to see only 2 Articles about Pop a lock as well.
