Basically, the employees don't get paid enough to drive -in our own personal cars - to unlock customers. In the long run, we all lose money due to gas and car repairs.
One guy that works for Pop-A-Lock for 9 years, have never once gotten a raise. I am currntly one of the best at my job in this county, according to the supervisor, and I get nothing.
Also, if we choose to have health insurnace, we the employees have to pay 75% of the costs. I don't recomend to anyone to work for this company, especially in the Greenville/Spartanburg, SC area.

Pop a lock is a NOT a company i would recommend anyone working for... And there low prices have put all the legimate locksmiths in the area out of business ... Although low prices are good for the customer long wait times and paying their locksmiths less then minimum wadge is the expense of there low price car lockouts.
Sincerely- 2 year dedicated employee of the pop a lock greenville area

I have now heard that the original report has made it into the area owners hands. It was not my intention to get anyone in trouble for something I wrote.
I would like to also say that my friend completely forgot about the day he told me this until he saw it all written down and up for the public to see. Needlessly, my friendship is on rocky grounds right now.
i dont know your personal situation, but i invested in a 2006 suzuki forenza sedan for working ERS (emergency roadside svcs) and vehicle lockouts and even in the worst of traffics, still manage an easy 20mpg (at this point, in city driving im averaging 23-28city and 37-41hwy.. pays to stay off the throttle). in addition to that, in my market GOA's (gone on arrival) are rampant, it is absolutely crucial that if you get a GOA that you contact the service provider and get the GOA PO (purchase order) to get paid for that call
in addition to that, freebees will kill you! a few of my co-workers in my market dont even bother to call the providers and bill for 2nd svc for airing up a tire.. hello?? the providers only pay the base rate IF THE CUSTOMER HAS THEIR FUNCTIONING SPARE, jack, and special tools (special rims=special tools)!! if you have to do extra work BILL IT!
as with the health insurance issue, the best suggestion i can offer ya is this, put $1000 in the bank that you never ever touch except for absolute dire emergencies, pay off your debt(if this applies, if not, skip it) (DO NOT USE CONSOLIDATION!!), then put in 70hrs a week, DO NOT IDLE your engine, DO NOT move from your last call untill you are dispatched to your next call, and..... once you have 3-6mos of pay in the bank, get your most basic healthcare coverage with the highest deductables possible(yes, i said highest) and saving at least your deductible amount in the bank, and pay cash for routine things like dental visits for teeth cleanings, sealants etc and Dr visits for physicals!!
you have to be like the CEO moguls out there, anything you can do to cut your costs will eventually pay off, im sorry for your bad experiences, i do hope things improve!
