Uh huh

AUTHOR: Leslie - (United States of America)

The only "drama" that is going on, is your singular post, person "Anonymous."

You need to be very careful in regard to whom you attack and for exactly what reasons.  In regard to Buckwood, they have paid on time, every time for over a dozen years.  This speaks a multitude of volumes, and one needs to go no further.

All proof regarding the subject of this post is 100% documented, and one could bring about criminal actions, but has chosen not to at this point in time.

We've let it rest, but a few others with a "stake" in the matter have recently and unfortunately have chosen not to.  So much the pity.

Drama in PPN Land . . .

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (United States of America)

This is quite the drama going on in PPN land. I think I have pretty much read through all the connected articles. The thought came to me to check out who PPN really is and just how legal they are. Turns out maybe "not so much" - decide for yourself, whether you are a client or an employee. As I read through all the drama on all the connected blogs - here are the companies that PPN gets their employees from and possibly their web site services from:

Buckwood Communications

RPM Services
(Might be hard to find how they are connected other than they were included in the blackball email.)

Go to this corporate
search link:  http://nvsos.gov/sosentitysearch/corpsearch.aspx
search for each company individually to see their "status"

Both companies have had their corporation status permanently revoked by the state of Nevada for
failure to pay their fees and/or taxes for 5 years for more. If you work for these guys - you may want to consider working for someone else. According to the government site they can never be reinstated.

Lack of good judgement is whats really at the core of these blogs.
Blackballing, empty legal threats, name calling very unprofessional.
So far as I can see - the only possible legal actions that could take place are against Al / PPN for blackballing a former employee and trying to intimidate another business from taking her on.

I certainly would not do business with these guys and would hope their clients and their employees check them out thoroughly before continuing with them.

Good luck to all of you . . .

#3 REBUTTAL Owner of company

I agree with you, Ramjet

There have been many people who are either naive or in desperate situations that have been taken advantage of by psychic scammers, who knowingly prey on these types of individuals. It is certainly sad and very unfortunate.

Without going into detail, and of course, not knowing for sure a persons character, we do have a screening method that weeds out, first of all, propsed psychics or Tarot readers that cannot pass a rigid test reading.  Beyond that, and since I have been in this industry since 1995, let us just say that I myself know of many scammers out there, who we will never accepted on our site.  Although, and certainly not to disparage all other psychic companies, but I have seen some of the aforementioned psychics/scam artists on certain sites.

As I have stated a few times prior, and hopefully you do believe me Ramjet, I truly am a person of principle first and foremost, and always try my utmost to keep our company free of these type of scammers.  Unfortunately, it is not always possible, as there will always be some that slip through the cracks.

Thank you, Ramjet.

I wish you and yours all the best.

Very respectfully to skeptic

Thank you very kindly for your reply.

And from my heart to yours, I do indeed appreciate your last sentence.

It certainly sounds that you've led an interesting life in regard to searching out the paranormal.  And, I respect this aspect, without question, even though I happen to have personally experienced (not always, of course) a good amount of different and very specific results.
In any case, please take care now, and a sincere wish for peace, love, good health and an abundance of happiness to you and yours. ?

Could agree

AUTHOR: Ramjet - (U.S.A.)

PPN, I can agree to disagree, I have no problem with that.  I have major disagreements with my best friends.

The problem I have has is the poor naive people who have been taken for many thousands of dollars or even their entire life savings.  Once they have everything, the 'psychics' dump them because they don't have any more money to send them. I think you can agree that's reprehensible and it's very common.

Even used car salesmen don't do that (maybe they would if they could figure out a way :-)).

To Al

AUTHOR: skeptic - (USA)

Al, Im no chicken and have been in this game my whole lifetime. My interest started in the paranormal as a child when our neighbor asked to borrow our dog to sleep in their house because a poltergeist was bothering them. Needless to say, I saw or heard nothing.
From there onwards I spent my spare time investigating every aspect of the paranormal.
Ive attended sances, confronted witchdoctors in Africa, had my fortune told, had my palm read, looked for ghosts in haunted houses and all the other paranormal claptrap that mankind can dream up. Nothing whatsoever has convinced me that any such phenomena exist. The JREF has a $1,000,000 challenge out for any psychic able to prove the paranormal. It can be dowsing, mind reading, fortune telling, or telepathy, anything that can be proven under controlled conditions. At last count I think, something like over 1000 applicants had applied and failed. All applicants agreed to the terms and conditions of the tests and agreed to what a positive result was. You should visit the JREF website.
My conclusion up till now is that people can be totally deluded into believing this nonsense. I remain therefore a skeptic until proven wrong by the cold hard facts of scientific investigation.

So please excuse my sarcasm.

For Ramjet

All that I can respond to you Ramjet, that I have not already stated, is that we're all of course, entitled to our own opinions.

I can agree to disagree with you, solely because of the fact that I would conclude that you have never experienced what I have truly experienced many times over.

Fair enough?

Peace to you.

First of all, anecdotes and stories are proof of nothing.  You telling stories doesn't mean a thing.

If there actually were any genuine psychics don't you think they would be zillionairs many times over?  They are not, they are ripping people off on the internet or operating out of some sleazy store front.  Wonder why.

There are, in fact, no genuine psychics, you have just been deluded or are actually deluding yourself.

However, the biggest problem I have is that we read here about 'psychics, spellcasters' etc.  ripping people off for tens of thousands of dollars or even their entire life savings.

Until some 'psychic' can prove their abilities in a controlled mutually agreed on environment I am absolutely 100% certain that they are ALL frauds.  ALL of them, no exceptions.

#9 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Specifically to Ramjet and Skeptic

Beside being skeptical, which you are entitled to be, parts of your post also smack of sarcasm.

That's okay, because I personally choose to take the high road here.

Years ago, prior to getting involved in this business, I too was a skeptic.  I believed far more in scientific principles than psychic phenomena.

However, over the years, I've personally received numerous psychic readings.  Were they all dead on? No.  Are there some scammers out there?  Yes.

However, I will state that on many occasions, the psychic to whom I was speaking with at the time, gave me solid, concrete specifics that only I or possibly some in my family could know of and confirm.  I'm positively not speaking of generalities here.  Far from it.

As just one example, after my mom passed on in August of 2005, I had a reading with a psychic, who herself, has since unfortunately passed on.  This was the first time that I had spoken with her, and she did not know who I was.  During this reading, this psychic (a female) let me know, among other specifics, that my mom was faring very well, and that she was holding a dog named "Gigi."  When I was a child, we indeed had a French Poodle named Gigi, who when she passed on, we had buried her in our backyard.
This is just one example of dozens upon dozens which have without question, made me a believer, and with obvious good reason, might I add.

But, as with me years ago, unless you've actually experienced first-hand, this truly spiritual and amazing phenomena, you just may thumb your nose at it.  As the saying goes, "The proof is in the pudding."

To Robert or whomever you are

I personally never stated that "we" have a binding non-compete clause.  I respectfully suggest  that you read the posts, wherever they are, and carefully see exactly who posted it/them.

If we or our service company had wanted to, which we are not at this time, the individual could have been sued, or criminal action could have been brought against this individual, independent contractor or not, for violation of law.
If hypothetically, our service company or our company were to bring about any legal action, we would need to prove pilfering, which we certainly could, had we gone through with it.
Personally "Robert", I'm not wild about your last sarcastic sentence of "This should be good!"

Whomever you actually are, you very much "seem" to be closely connected to this issue and have a vendetta against us for personal reasons.

Poor deluded Honest Al.

AUTHOR: skeptic - (USA)

Don't worry Robert, Honest Al won't be able to answer you because he's as deluded and screwed up as his "psychics" are. His "psychics" must be cleverer than him because they convince him they have paranormal ability. Poor Al.

Now once again - there is NO such thing as a "psychic."

I absolutely disagree that you are ethical in your business.

You know and I know that by definition anyone who claims to be a psychic or any of the other paranormal claptrap are absolute 100% frauds.

There is no such thing as a psychic, anywhere and you know it.  Please don't come on a public site and try to suck even more people into your scam.

Let us know when you win the JREF $1,000,000.00 challenge.  Oh, wait, you won't because you will quote one or more of a long list of ridiculous tired excuses.

Just please don't try to pretend you are legitimate and have any ethics or morals.

In one of the several ROR here it is mentioned that these "psychics" are independent contractors.

I'd like the OWNER of this business to explain how he can have a binding "none compete" clause for services performed by an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR let alone SUE an independent contractor for performing similar work for others (as an independant contractor.)

This should be good!

#14 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Unequivocally Untrue

This is Al, the owner of Psychic Power Network.

The person who originated this thread has not told the truth, despite the fact that he/she has read in black and white, proof that I/we did nothing of the kind, except to consider suing the individual and the one company that had put this psychic on their as of yet, not fully operational web site, as an accessory, which we have since changed our mind in doing so.  The owner of this other web site used to supply her services to PPN, until the company that paid her let her know that her services were no longer required, because she had orally and in written form, through PPN's phone and e-mail system, let a PPN client know that she was starting her own site and the name of the site, which is and was against our companies policy and against our service company's policy.

This poster is referring to a psychic that was recently exposed for unethically asking for and receiving monies behind the company's back from at least one client, even though the company solely paid for the advertising to attain the client.  This psychic, through a two week investigation, also continued to lie in regard to receiving these monies, until we received incontrovertible written proof from Bank of America that she did indeed use to deposit the check.  The monies were also not a gratuity to this psychic.  Hypothetically, even if they were, we have a procedure that has been used, mostly at Christmas time, to have any client that wishes to, send the gratuity to the company that pays the psychic, and then in turn, that company sends the gratuity to the psychic, so the privacy of both parties are fully protected.
This, like many other types of businesses, have their share of individuals who choose to take the low road, and we at Psychic Power Network, if we attain the undeniable proof, will always take the necessary action to place a stop it.
We/I always have and always will uphold the highest moral standards possible, we are ethical, professional, are not driven by greed, (we've kept our per minute rate of $1.99 since the company's inception to keep it as affordable as possible) and I am a person of principle, who will settle for nothing less, as I genuinely take this very seriously.
No matter what you hear, here or elsewhere, this is the complete truth, not a fabrication of the truth, and the written documented evidence that we have from Bank of America and from system e-mails in our possession, are obviously the proof of this.
Thank you very kindly.
