I found Pre Paid Legal services on the web. Sounded like a good deal. They offer legal services for a modest monthly fee. They offer to write legal letters, offer advice on a legal problem, do other minor things for you. They offer a very small discount on their attonery's fees, if you have to go to court, or need them for any real legal problems.

I found this out after I signed up with one of their smooth talking Agents, that promised they would do much more than they really do. Now, I knew from the price they charged a month, they weren't going to take on a large case, however.

They set me up with a law firm in Dallas TX. I called the firm, and asked one of the attonery if he could help me me a problem. And wanted to know how I should go legaly with it. He was a arrogant, condescending jerk, who acted like he was way to important to bother with my question. Then told me I needed to contact a private attonery for any help.

I can't believe I was paying a legal service for that kind of information! These people are dishonest, and prey on low income families, who can't afford to hire an attonery. They give false hope to desperate people in a legal bind.

#1 UPDATE Employee

That's very interesting Katherine....

AUTHOR: Tracy - (U.S.A.)

Unfortunately I know who you are.

Does "Domestic Diva" ring a bell?

How about the fact that just 2 weeks ago you were singing PPL's highest praises when it was found you were building a team only to jump ship when you made your money and moved your team to another company?

VERY against the rules.

Funny how a few weeks ago you were telling everyone on the forums we both frequent (until you were banned)that you were only working a couple of hours a day and very successful at it (kind of the same thing you are saying now about your new company, huh?).

All a part of the Domestic Diva Marketing plan?

It really is too bad to did what you did, and then choose to badmouth the company you made so much money on.

Why would you choose to work for a legal service company and go against such an obvious rule as no cross promoting different companies?

At any rate, people who read this, what she has written definitely has an ulterior motive behind it.

Google her name and visit some forums. Read what she has said before and you will know what I mean.

Pre-Paid Legal Services Sucks!!! I am sorry to see you had to feel their Bite! Whatever you do, Dont join the Freedom At Home Team!

AUTHOR: Katherine - (U.S.A.)

I just wanted to say that is horrible.. your experience. That is nothing compared to what i went through.

I joined the Freedom At Home Team, AKA Janie Jones Team and got stabbed in the back, torn down and wrongfully terminated.

I helped Janie Jones,Pennie Berk get to the top and when i wouldnt do what they wanted, They had me Terminated.

My story is very long. I worked more than 10 hours a day calling leads, marketing, working to build the lies and hopes they try to sell..

Yeah..they try to tell you .. Its willable and Sellable.. Dont fall for it.

If you want to do multiple income streams you better not get in Pre-Paid Legal.

They will terminate you after you get your upline to the level they want to be at.. In some people's cases that is NVP .. National.. etc

Then they will have you terminated..

Its not worth your time.

I am so glad i am with my current company and i have learned my lesson. I do very well and work only a couple of hours a day now so, I guess me getting terminated had to happen for me to really get the Freedom At Home i was seeking.

If your smart.. you will think twice about joining a MLM called Pre-Paid Legal and read their P&P before you join. You will regret it later.

True Freedom doesnt come from working like a dog for someone else..!!!

Katherine Kalolo
You can contact me anytime for my story and proof that i got shafted... Big Time.. But dont worry. I am doing amazing now.. !!!

How to handle the Pre-Paid Legal Attorneys

AUTHOR: Lisa - (U.S.A.)

I am responding to the person who said that Pre-Paid Legal Attorneys handled her case rudely. If this happens to anyone, just simply call PPL in Ada, OK. They want to know about this. The attorneys are on a 90 day retainer. They will fire the attorneys, if they get too many complaints. And, a different Attorney will call you back immediately. I know that for a fact. There are lots of Law Firms in each state lined up to take PPL clients.

I have had PPL for years and love it...I would not leave home without it. They have saved me hundreds of dollars, have written several letters.

I hope this helps everyone who has had a bad experience with this really great company.

Read your Membership Book

AUTHOR: Debra - (U.S.A.)

First of all, the lawyer should not have been rude but maybe he was having a bad day (we all have them). Second, you should not have been lied to. Third, when you get a membership you get a book that spells it all out for you and you should have read it! Fourth, if you do have some prexisting problems you can get 25% off the fees. And lastly, some of the prepaid lawyers will take a case on contingency depending on what it is.

Thank you original poster

AUTHOR: Jane - (U.S.A.)

I am very glad you wrote your original post. PPL had a rep stop by our job and sing to us about the virtues of being a member.
Sounded a bit too go to be true.
If you had not shared your story and the PPL would not have responded, I can assure you that we would have all joined. I will try to convice EVERYONE not to (office of 32) but I know for sure the people that I eat lunch with nearly daily WILL Not as I am going to download a copy of this (and the brilliant 'dictionary game' reply by the guy from florida?)
anwyhoo
Please know that you (as of 9am tommorrow morning) will have saved at least 4 people a whole lot of money and grief!
THANK YOU!

Something for nothing?

AUTHOR: Nick - (U.S.A.)

Anon said:
I am a little harsh on the matter, but I deal with your people daily and you expect something for nothing.

You're also a little ignorant on the matter. Something for nothing would imply that PPL services are free.

So let me correct your sentence:

.....I deal with you [sic] people daily, and you expect something for TWENTY NINE DOLLARS A MONTH.

There. That's better.

now thats great customer service!

AUTHOR: Brenda - (U.S.A.)

Wow! i know not to ever do business with this company! Who does that? Many they did not understand what your services covered, but to be such a condesending ass to someone? And you actually work for this company? I think your response says alot about how your company treats people after you have their money. Even if you deal with "you people that want something for nothing" everyday you should defend you company in a positive light . Haven't you ever heard the customer is who provides your paycheck?

How's that grab ya? That's PPL in a nutshell. We can all play the dictionary game.

You use car insurance as your analogy. Amazing how all of you try and use that. Well, if you pay for insurance, you expect it to be there when you need it. With PPL, you pay for it, and then they tell you "it's not covered", even when the policy in your hand clearly states it is.

Any more definitions you'd like to look up?

I will do a little work for you.

AUTHOR: Anon - (U.S.A.)

Since you are having a difficult time with this concept I'm going to do a little foot work for you. Here goes.

preexist or pre-exist ( P ) Pronunciation Key (prg-zst)
v. preexisted, preexisting, preexists
v. tr.
To exist before (something); precede: Dinosaurs preexisted humans.

v. intr.
To exist beforehand.

I am even going to be even more helpful!

condition ( P ) Pronunciation Key (kn-dshn)
n. conditions Existing circumstances: Conditions in the office made concentration impossible.

Now I hope this helps you a little. I do have one more piece of advice. READ YOUR MEMBER MANUAL. It isn't rocket science lady. You should have had the memebership before you got in trouble. It is kinda like car insurance. You don't wreck your car then go buy insurance and expect them to pay for it! I am a little harsh on the matter, but I deal with your people daily and you expect something for nothing. The world doesn't work like that.
