I was employed by Precision Doors til this week. This company is using other names, they put faulse adresses in the phone books with all of these names to make the customer feel they are "Locally owned and operated." They also put into their adds things like, in business since 1978, an member of the BBB, etc.
The company is nothing more than a fraud. They make the customer think they've been doing this for years, that they're certified mechanics, that they sell all types of doors and parts, sorry, none of this is true. As another former employee, from Arizon stated, they DO infact teach each of their employees how to rip off the customer, they even teach you how to mess with different items on the door so that they look broken to need replacement.
They offer a ten year warranty to decieve the cost and I have been installing doors for "Legitimate"{ companies for ten years and it doesn't matter how "Top of the Line," they claim their parts are, it's not true. For example, a spring WILL ware out, break or streatch within 3 to 6 years, depending on the use, and they will amke it look like your fault then they will do a 10 point check on your door, that's when they will tamper with your door and lie about what needs to be done.
Unfortunately when I took a job with this company, I thought they were a perfect company to work for until, I started not getting paid for the sales I made. I refused to screw anyone over, all the customer that I went to have become my clientile and you can not have any pride or morales if yourough with this scam. This company thought that, by not giving me my rightful pay thatI would continue to work for them, thinking that they had me were they wanted me. Not so, with not the right pay, how was I supossed to live and pay my bills. So, The company sent other employees to get y truck. To show you how this company really is, When they showed up they not only harased me, but my wife too. When I spoke to the owner, he actually threatened me with physical harm.
I dare the "President" of Precision to rebutal. This person is also a fake. To prove it, go to the BBB and try to look up any of their names or phone numbers for any state they claim to be in, and you'll find they don't even exist.
At the present time, I have filed complaints with the BBB of Maryland, The Wage and Hour Division of Maryland, a police report with the Charles County Police Department, a polie report with the Maryland State Police, this rip off report, I will be filling Civil and Criminal actions against this (these) companies, and will also persue all other means of agencies and lawsuits as needed, I am also contacting Consumer Watch for all the local TV news stations and local papers, as I will also be filling information to the IRS.
This is no joking matter, these people need to be stopped and put out of business before the rip off more people and unknowing employees.

Precision Door Service has operated since 2003 with a new Board of Directors and that Board terminated several franchisees and one company officer who were responsible for operating under multiple names or not properly providing service to our standards. The company only operates under one name, Precision Door Service, Inc. and any franchisee that violates that policy will be immediately terminated.
Anyone who has a complaint on a door repair that is not satisfied by the local franchisee is encouraged to contact customer service at Precision Door Service Headquarters in Rockledge, Florida. 1-866-737-8255.

Update with new info to look for. more people are seeing through PDS's bull

It's been awhile since we last made an update as many more people are seeing through PDS's bull. More and more are reporting this company for what they really are, a corrupt unethical and illegal business. PDS isn't using Precision Overhead Door Service anymore, but Precision Door Service, Inc. on their letter heads, websites, etc. By the way, if you check out their website, you can see that no matter what zip code you put in their search engine, you still see the same picture of the same building and the same truck.
MD's AG is lacking in and of itself. The PDS in our area has hundreds of consumer complaints filed against them with the BBB, AG and other government agencies. The competing companies to which PDS has illegally used their names in their own sells, etc. have filed numerous complaints and some have lost the battle with trying to prove they were not affiliated with the likes of these people. Manufactures to which PDS have infringed their copyrighted rights have also filed complaints, still somehow PDS throws their Overseas accounts money and gets away with whatever their money will buy. It's sad to know that they have the BBB and big Bell's on their payroll, can you imagine what other agencies and corporations they've recruited for this scheme. At this point in the game, people are aware enough to know not to get involved with these people. Those that are still working with them and the agencies/corporations involved will go down along side of PDS and I for one will not shed a single tear, but will rejoice in all the glory of knowing that one more Corporate ass is no longer getting rich on a poor man's trust.
Well, as for the PDS in MD, they are now located at 9125D Whiskey Bottom Road in Laurel, MD. They claim to have a showroom now, amazing what money can buy. Oh, you do know that the franchise owner for this location is a relative of the Tindall's and was imprisoned for embezzlement? Yep! He must be moving up on the corporate pole as he has his own website now at precisiongaragedoorsinc.com I invite the other companies to check this out, with all the same old BS as always. Take a look at their contact page as every location you could think of has a contact number. Want to have some more fun, cross check them with all other company listings in the yellow pages, this should give you a clear understanding of all the fake companies they list under in the YP. Don't call though, they have caller ID and if you call and hang up, they'll call you back and continue to harass you. I guess some things just don't change. I know that Brian will be reading this as he seems to have nothing better to do, so what I want you to know, we've tried being nice, we asked for our money back and all my back pay not received and this has been refused and/or ignored. However, no longer will I continue to sit back and watch you get fatter with greed, you can't play this game forever. People know all about you and your company and no one will stand for it any longer. Your franchise owners despise you and what you stand for and those that refuse to go along with you scamming, you slap a law suit on them for anything and everything. Eventually, you'll slap a suit or threaten the wrong person, as with us, and things won't end up to your liking. You'll lose everything you never worked a day for and boy that put a grin on my face. From here on out, every time you harass me or my family, threaten us, etc. I will come back here and post what you and your people did, enough is enough!

I take the thank you back. After you made the mistake of putting a rebuttal to our BBB report and your title read "Check our PDS", now we know who you are. The facts are plain and simple, PDS does not put their entire listing on their site, they do not list their many allias's nor do they list the illegal name usage. Everything listed on this site is pure bull, I've checked it out. Just wait, PDS is going down!

I have furthered my actions against Precision. I have set up a meeting with officials to further action in my state. They find it great to have California already taking measures. I also read a report of late, where another former employee has finally come forward. Hopefully, we can work together on this nationwide scam. I have file my papers with the Wage and Hour division and am now looking for a trust worthy attorney in my area to represent me in a civil and criminal lawsuit against Precision.
I just found out that Precision now has a new office in my state. I checked into this one also and found that they do not hold a business license under any name. You see I ran into an old friend that is working for that office and spoke way too much. Hopefully, no matter how long this may take, Precision and all their alliases will finally be shut down.

Total Precision and their aliases listings via the Yellow pages

I wanted to give you an idea of the total number of listing that you can find on this company and their aliases. Notice that Precision's ad will say 30 locations nationwide. The ad for all the others will state in business since 1979, 1978, over 30 years, over 25 years, etc.
The total number of listing that follows only include the different addresses and phone number. I didn't count any with the same information but listed more than once and I only listed those found in garage doors. Precision is listed 609 times, Overhead Door Service (not Overhead Door Company, which is not affilated) is listed 533 times, American Overhead Doors is listed 55 times, GDS, Inc. is listed 6 times, Garage Door Service is listed 1572 times, Garage Door Specialists is listed 122 times, Master Craftsmen is listed 50 times, Door Trust is listed 11 times, Craftsman is listed 81 times, Allied Doors is listed 24 times, The Repair Specialists is listed 62 times, Garage Door Systems is listed 106 times, Door Works is listed 38 times, Liftmaster Garage Door Repair is listed 18 times, Genie Garage Door Repair is listed 6 times, Stanley Garage Door repair is listed 3 times, Searies is listed 17 times, Garage Door America is listed 26 times, Access is listed 108 times, and ABC is listed 11 times. Amazing huh??
I can't understand why the Yellow Pages will and can run ads that are most definately fraudulant and misleading. There is no way that they don't see what the people they've srewed see. I personally can't wait until I look these names up and see 0 listings.

Precisions and most their aliases don't even have a license!!!

While searching through the different states licensing boards, I found that the company I had worked for and their aliases don't even have a license to do business.
Yet still amazingly enough, these companies that have, all of a sudden, become BBB members and have a satisfactory record with the BBB aren't even allowed to do business but are, something is definatley wrong.
I went ahead and checked out several other states, and I can't seem to find ANY precision that actually has a license, not to mention all their many aliases that at one point did hold a license, have either been cancelled for suspended. It's amazing how they are still doing business.
Lately, I've been recieving letters from various BBB's that I had e-mailed about a month ago now, and most tell me that they won't do anything, and the others give our personal information to these other affilates with my complaint, telling the company and myself that the company will respond to me personally. The BBB's e-mail that I sent stated that I had to file many police reports for the ongoing harassment and threats, so by them handing this information out, they are just as responsible for these problems as the company itself.

Newest information on Precision and the CBBB's cover up

I am listing the complete list of names that are to date on Precisions Aliases. The following are the current name to date: Door Trust, Allied, Overhead of (state or city), American Overhead, Ailey-Hodge Inc., Overhead Services, Master Craftsmen, Craftsman, Repair Specialists, Garage Door Specialists, Garage Door Services, Garage Door Service and Sales, Mr. Repair, ALL the companies that end with Garage Door Services, GDS Inc., GD Sales, Garage Door Systems, Door Works, Liftmaster Garage Door Repair, Genie Garage Door Repair, Stanley Garage Door Repair, Sierra Garage Door Repair, Seris/ Searies/ Searls/ Searis Garage Door Repairs, Door Service and Garage Door America.
This company is know to be in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Alaska, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusettes, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington state.
As of late, I sent an e-mail to all the BBB's to which this company affects, requesting to file a complaint. I told them everything including the above. I told them that they were a scam company, that I have proof to my facts,, etc. Well, by accident, I recieved a e-mail that was in response and followed by my e-mail to every BBB that I contacted. A man named Ron Berry at the CBBB basically told them to ignore me. Since, I have been getting very rude e-mails from these BBB's telling me never to e-mail them again. I also found that after my 3 complaints filed on the companies division that I was working for, with the BBB in Washington DC, that they have now made them a new member. Yet, the CBBB says their not covering anything up. You tell me, how can a scam company that didn't exist 3 weeks ago, become satisfactory enough to make a member? Sounds like bribery to me. I posted a report under BBB with the specifics to these e-mails, please take a look.
I have also been in contact with the FTC, the US Chamber of Commerce, the American Chamber of Commerce, the AG or Maryland, the US Justice Deptartment Consumer Division, and the AG of Virgina (where the CBBB is located). The American Chamber of Commerce is requesting copies of my documents w/ their names, address, phone numbers, etc. and said that they will be doing an investigation on the companies scam and CBBB. The AG of MD and the AG of Virgina are looking into the situation. I will keep this report posted with each new developement.

Council for BBB refuses to notice scam & the growing aka's

As of this update, I have sent certified a letter to Precision as to my back pay and still have not recieved a reply. Obviously I am not expecting them to. This week I finally recieved an reply e-mail from the Council for the BBB.
As before I sent an reply email dated 5-13-02, and told them everything that they should be advised of. I told them about the different names they use (that I knew at the time), that this is in fact nation, that I previously filed a complaint with my local BBB and what they said (They couldn't help me, this is an employee-employer problem), etc. Knowing that all that is on my original message dated 5-12-02 and 5-13-02, this is the reply they sent me; "The CBBB does not accept complaints against companies. We are the national office. You need to file an complaint with your local BBB." end of message.
I sent them yet another reply and told them again what I have stated twice before. I also stated that if they fail to reply satifactory, that I would assume them to be in part of this scams cover up and would refer this to a high up government agencies.
The threats and harassments have not stopped but are getting more frequent. EG. My wife will pick up the phone and someone will either slam the phone in her ear or demand to speak to me, it she asks who is calling they either hand up or tell her it's none of her ?*!?^*? business. Enough!!
At the present time, upon further investigating, I have found additional names used by this company, some you may already may have heard of in other reports but didn't know they were of the same company. The following names are also being used; 1) Access Garage Doors, 2)Craftsman Garage Door Repair, 3)Mr. Repair Garage Door Services, 4) (different area name) Garage Door Repair,and 5) Liftmaster Overhead Garage Door Repair Service. Liftmaster is a ligitamate company, they sale and manufactor garage door openers/motors, but DO NOT do garage doors. This company is using their name and adding to it as they do with Overhead Doors. As I find other alais's I will put them into my updates.
If any of my customers are reading this, Please know that while Precision, etc is ripping people off with their scam, I at no time have. I charged the lowest price the company would let me charge and I only installed or repair that which needed it and nothing more. If you are still dealing with this company, please back out now, the other employees ARE going along with this scam and will do everything they can to rip you off. If you are in fact still dealing with them, please, before you let them touch your property, have another company (none of the above names) come out any give you a quote and list of problems. And the older you are, the more they will believe they can get over on you. The owner himself told me, "When you go out to an old ladies house, make sure you don't sell her a new door, but tell her that everything needs replaced and updated. If that doesn't sell, tell her that she has to sign our 10 point inspection of the door and explain the her that by her doing that, if anything happens to the door or anyone because of the door, you are not responsible because you told her what needed repeired or replaced. That always works." Just please becareful in your decisions.

New Company names, and BBB information. ..Council for all the BBB's say, "they can't help me". ..harassing and threatening phone calls

Doing furthur investigating in to this company, I have found over 200 companies with these alliged names in the BBB. I also looked into the national yellow pages and found over 400 names with addresses or phone numbers consistant with one of their original names. I found additional names that they are also going by: Any Garage Door company with the word American into the title, Garage Door Service and Sales, Master Craftsmen, GDS, Inc., Garage Door Specialist, Garage Door Works, Garage Door Systems, they are also using another ligitamet companies name Overhead Doors of ???, with intension to cunfuse customers. Overhead garage doors is a ligitamet company, by their using the name and adding a word or two to make you think that they are the same company.
Last week I e-mailed the Council for the US BBB. I explained some of my findings and asked for help into looking into the situation. The very next day, I recieved an e-mail form the BBB's Tech Ed, they told me that they can't help me that I needed to contact my local BBB. So I sent them a reply e-mail back to the Council with attached my original e-mail and their e-mail to me. I told them that the problem is my local BBB will not help. I explained that to myself it looks as though the BBB is involved in covering up this scam. And they need to seriously look into it these companies and put a stop to it. To date I have not recieved any type of response.
During the last two weeks I have recieved harassing and threatening phone calls. These callers have placed fake numbers going to my ID box. I have over 30 phone messages with things on them like, I will give you 5 seconds to pick up or else and someone will say something like "Hey, Dale, it's me pick up," and when no one picks up they'll say "If you know what's good for you and your family, you'll pick up." I have also filed additional police reports to these threats and harassments.
If any of these people are reading this let me asure you that your driving by my house, leaving harassing phone calls, etc. do not intimadate me. Beacause of your ongoing scam to myself, I have already lost a way to supoort my family, I can't pay my bills, nor can I prived the nessaties my family needs like gas in the car or food on the table. So, really, I will not back down, I will get money money owed to me and see to it that this company is out of business perminently. I will file all civil and criminal actions against all involved.

REAL address of the company and found that they DID NOT EXIST

On Monday, I had looked up Precision Doors, ect. for the REAL address of the company and found that they DID NOT EXIST, at that time I had filled a complaint with the BBB. Today, Thursday 5-9-02, I look up the same name and got information pertaining to the company. Occurding to their records the information I Gave them was placed and states: "In business since Jan 2001" This is also incorrect, I was told that they didn't buy into the COMPANY until late March of 2001. They have them listed with a Satisfactory rating. I quess so, since before Monday, They didn't exist. Then upon further investigating, I found the there is supposedly another company with another owner with the same exact information exept that they have been in business since 1988 and are still in business, this one with a very bad rating. I also recieved a letter in the mail yesturday evening pertaining to the complaint I had made on Monday. I told them how people were being scammed. Their letter stated, "We don't feel this fits into our catagory for complaints. This is more a employee-employer problem."
I have looked up ALL the companies names. At this time I have found other names used, still none are BBB members nor is there any information on these companies. I think it's just so amazing how they didn't exist until I fill a complaint.
As my original report stated I had to call the County police here on Monday, and it is in their police report that the office manager stated, that I could at least pick up my final pay check as soon as it went through "Pay Roll", well, I called this morning to see if it was there yet to pick up, and was told, that I had to call back later, that she was GOING to mail it!?!
As I get additional information to help bring this company down, I will update this report.
