So, like many others, I was hit by the white van scam and ended up buying a Digital Research surround sound system. However, I found they do have a card for the real manufacturer in the box. It is Precision Transducer Systems (ptswoofers.com), located in Ontario, California. They are a real company, but don't apparently have a real sales channel (other than the scam). Refused to tell me a local distributor name to return items, so I reported them to the Better Business Bureau under selling practices. Yes, surprisingly enough they were on there (with an A rating no less). If you've been caught in this scam, I'd suggest you report them too. Even if they are a legit manufacturer they need to be somewhat responsible for their distributors actions. Especially if they won't tell you who the distributors are so you can work your issues out with them. I included links in my report to all of the online sites (including this one) that talk about their products and the scam used to sell them. Good Luck!
