My son is 19 and mentally impaired to the level of a 12 year old. He has no understanding of money or time without watching a clock. While visiting his grandmother, he seen a add to call me, we can chat and so he looked up the number and called. Having no idea what type of number he was calling. He had no idea or understanding that every minute he was on the phone was costing him $8.4375 or that it is a scam to keep you on the phone.

 Like all boys he wants some attention, but for him he is in a mans body with a boys mind so he does not have any clue what is getting ready to happen. I cannot even begin to imagine how the conversation went, but I can tell you that it was all one sided, as he would not know how to talk dirty if his life depended on it. The longest conversation he had was 31 minutes yet the fee for that 31 minutes changed each time????

They have gotten my son to give them his gift card number for a total of $100, plus he has given them a debit card number on two separate occasions for a total of about $500.00. They say he still owes them $1200 yet I just finally got the first bill and it says $1670.60?!?!?

If my son had any clue about how much money this was it would be a stupid mistake of a 19 year old guy, but again he is mentally impaired and has no idea how much money this equates to. We have explained it to him like this all the money you made mowing grass this year will not be enough to pay this bill! He still does not fully understand it, and does not
understand that the girl on the other line is not his girlfriend she said she was.

They send horrible text messages to his phone on a daily basis, several a day. They leave voice mails for him with tempting deals to call and get 30 free minutes, WTF. Now they have tracked down my husbands number by using the address our son gave them and are calling and harassing my husband. They have demanded money, yet refuse to discuss the matter without our sons permission, and now are even calling him with their tempting deals to
call back and talk dirty.

There has to be something that protects the disabled from this type of fraud like there is with the elderly. I guess I did not even realize you could call and chat without paying first or giving a legitimate credit card number up front. All of it is a scam and companies like this should not be allowed to operate for the simple fact that they have no way of verifying the person on the other end of the line is a legitimate customer over the age or 18 and is not suffering from any issues that would prevent them from understanding what type of business they are. My son thought he was giving his
girlfriend money, not that he was paying for conversation.

Parents be aware they are out to get your innocent disabled children and will take all your money in the process of causing horrible damage to their already fragile minds.
