I will try not to get into too many details for fear of boring you and for fear of retaliation.  I work for a company that uses PRS to handle payroll, administration and staffing.  I've worked for both for over a month.  Getting paid is a nightmare.
 
I won't tell you the number of phone calls and emails that were ignored during this process.

You are supposed to be paid using a special debit card.  It took a month to get that card. I got warnings that I wouldn't get paid because I didn't turn in my paperwork even though I sent it in 3 times (via email with receipt.)  They can't find it.  Then they blame me for not sending in time sheets.  They didn't bother to send me time sheets.  Then they blame me for not accessing the online system and approving my time sheets.  First, they didn't give me an employee id.  Then, once they sent me one, it still took 2 more days for it to work, then, it took them another week for them to enter the time sheets I emailed them so I couldn't even approve my own time sheets.  
 
They are supposed to pay via this debit card but don't send one.

Then after a bunch of complaints they send me a check via FedX, no signature required.  It never arrives.  They promise to send another one out and never do.  So they tell me they will pay my debit card.  Uh....the reason for the check is because they haven't sent the debit card!  So they say they will send it to the debit card account.  Uhhhh, I have no access to that account because I don't have the debit card.  So they say they will deposit it in the bank account on record with the debit card.  Wait....if I don't have access to the debit card, what bank account are they using?  Finally, I give them my bank account and they deposit a certain dollar amount.
 
I ask for a record of how they calculated this amount.  I can't get it until the next pay period.  Did they calculate/give me overtime?  I don't know.
 
Then, I suddenly get one extra hour put down on one day.  I email and say I submitted x hours, but they entered y.  I am NOT going to affirm the wrong number of hours.  No response.  All of my subsequent time sheets are now not being entered.  I'm now getting "warnings" that I won't be paid because I'm not affirming my hours (which show up as zero).  No one returns my phone calls or emails. 
 
My choices, affirm zero hours for all subsequent days and an incorrect time for a day (is this a trap?) or continue to wait for them to ignore my phone and emails.
 
So, let's talk about the pay periods.  They have an 11-14 day pay float.  The pay period ends and you wait11-14 days for the pay to show up on your debit card.  Nice interest they keep on your money.  And if you want to transfer that money into your bank account....you can wait another 72 hours.  There is a list of about 25 ways that you can get a fee to use your debit card (your own money).  So they save and make money off of paying you!  You get to pay them to get your money unless you are so careful, read the fine print and wait as much as 17 days while they make interest on it. 
 
I still have no idea if I'll get paid, if I'm being paid correctly, or legally.  The company needs to be investigated by the Missouri Attorney General.

Class Action Lawsuit against Premium Retail Services

I am curious to know if anyone knows the law firm handling the nation wide class action lawsuit for Premium. I see one from CA but not nationwaide. They are demanding we sign a form saying if we want to continue to work for them or if we ever want to work for them again, we have to sign away our rights to sue or become part of a class action lawsuit. I refuse to sign away my rights, but can't find the lawsuit and want to be a part of it

We did it here in my state and the dept of labor sued them for the unemployment insurance claim since their rep saw fit to not show up for the live on the phone court hearing. I wish more would follow suit. File wage claims whatever you have to do. Also get your paperwork signed by store management and have at least some sort of solid proof of your hours work actual hours worked and then nail em. PRS is a fraud.

Premium Retail Services does NOT pay

Not only does Premium Retail Services NOT pay but they go to extremes to make sure that no matter what you submit is categorized as "wrong" by them.  I had a problem where, as someone else stated, they continually tell you that they never receive your timesheet when you email them to the correct place they tell you to.  Then you, of course, send them again.  Should be the proper action considering Premium Retail Services tells you to send them again.  Now Premium Retail Services takes your timesheet that they requested you send again and re-enters it into their system.  Now you have DOUBLE hours submitted and are immediately sent a warning regarding  false and inaccurate timesheets and how if you do it 3 times you are fired!  WHAT?!?!  I did not do this - their department entered it twice and now by saying you sent it wrong, the timesheet is listed as "Having an issue" and they will not pay for anything in that pay period because at least one is wrong.  Very convenient for Premium Retail Services since they do this at least once in every pay period...Tada - now they do not have to pay you for any of those days you worked.  You can call and email until you are so irritated and aggravated and they still refuse to correct anything in order to get you paid.  I am waiting for over 120 hours worth of pay and they have paid me so far for exactly 10 hours!  10 hours of pay for over a month of work is not and should not be acceptable to anyone.

Premium Retail Services does not seem to have anyone in any position that I have dealt with that are able to correct any problem or do anything at all to resolve this situation.  I feel I am being harassed because I had a disagreement with the payroll manager on the phone when I first tried to get this problem fixed.  The payroll manager was rude, arrogant, and yelled at me on the phone on how stupid I was and how they (Premium Retail Services) would be better off if I quit...And since that day the problems have compounded to where they are truly out of control. 

I am at a total loss on what to do or how to proceed but it is going to be really difficult to give my kids any kind of Christmas with 10 hours worth of pay.  I really wish I knew what to do but everyone tells me if I quit I will NEVER get paid so I continually spend my money for gas, babysitting, etc. to go work my schedule knowing that I still cannot seem to get paid.  I also cannot give any exact examples because I already am being retaliated against by Premium Retail Services and do NOT want it to get worse.
